I wouldn't have complained if Dave Jones became manager at SUFC when Danny Wilson did. In fact he was my suggestion. As far as I know Dave Jones has done nothing to antagonise Blades fans - his only crime now is being in charge of the unclean - (the rest was unproven)

Totally agree with the last part, think Wendy will struggle this season.

However...think back to our home game with 'the mighty Oldham'. 2-0 up at half-time and I said to somebody at HT 'I hope Wilson has told them this game isn't over.' On to the pitch they ambled for the second half and the rest was history.

Definitely a flaw in DW's preparation.

Always struck me as a nearly man Dave Jones but if I'm honest so does our Danny. They are similar in the respect that they've taken teams to the playoffs on several occasions but missed out on promotion. Both have one PL promotion to their name.

Both decent second tier managers to me (based on their levels of achievement).

If I'm not mistaken we are talking of the same bloke who was manager at Wolves in 2003 yeah they won the play off and he had a year in the top flight. I think he also got Southampton to the Premiership but left them amid his alleged kiddy fiddling court case.

p.s no he didn't get Southampton promotion but he did manage them in the premiership before Glen Hoddle took over

He'll improve Wednesday without taking them any higher than upper/mid-table Championship.
