Blades at Wembley is a nailed on loss but I will still be there.
I have mixed emulsions over this thread, itd be walking on egg shells to claim its of any note, itd only gloss over other things ,
its a competition made for Matt Herriot you could say , we,ll need some good preparation , and as its played in early march dont go without an undercoat, to Wembley
we should brush most teams aside, but dont expect them to roller over, but if we lose to some poor team will lose dis temper of mine.
Will the England band be there?
Probably unlikely that it would happen but wouldn't it be highly embarrassing if both Sheffield clubs get to this final?
Shiity little 3rd division clubs off to a big event in the big smoke whilst everyone else laughs at their demise and misfortune.
What could be worse? The feckin Pig band would be there as well.
Good idea, but could lead to us going out in one of the early rounds. Realistically promotion is the only goal for next season. Anything else is a distraction, although won't do a lot for morale if we do go out early.I think we should play the Reserves and U18's in this competition throughout and let Pemberton manage them.
It will give them and him vital experience of matches against more senior players and let our first team concentrate on the main events.
That approach is likely to attract more interest and bigger crowds as well.
I'd certainly be more inclined to watch the kids play in this than our first team.
