Will we sell out?

Thanks for that. Was just gonna ask if there’s a deadline for when you can purchase 👍🏻

If sales are still slow by Tuesday/ Wednesday time…..I reckon Wembley will offer blocks 526 and 527 to Sunderland fans, giving them an extra 1.5K tickets.
Otherwise surely tickets will be allowed to be bought right up the match start time.

As per the previous post it looks like block 527 is used for segregation.
Not sure Sunderland will be offered extra tickets, if they are then it’s 1K at the most.

It is strange, 114 looked like it had sold out in the season ticket sales window, but then a few popped up this morning. There were even two together!

Could it be that someone has contacted the ticket office and moved their seats? That’s the only reason I can think of.
Maybe they were taken back from someone flogging them at exorbitant prices, maybe someone decided they couldn't go so cancelled them. There's no way people will be allowed to change seats when many thousands would want to if they had the opportunity. Just spotted this on SUFC website so I think they've been taken back from touts "Once tickets have been purchased, they cannot be moved, amended or refunded."

We've sold 32k out of a 35.5k allocation in a week. There is another week before the game. I reckon we'll pretty much sell out.
Hope I’m wrong but Wembley is a game people get sorted early. I dont think we will.30k plus is still a good backing though.

On the flip side of that, after the game on Monday its seen a bit of a lull with the press etc etc.

I wonder if some of the non goers 'at the moment', change there mind as the week goes on after a rise in press and supporter activity/excitement?

Over to you United media team, lets get the excitement and enthusiasm bubbling.

I think we are in the lull before the storm.

I know loads what aren’t going for one reason or another but I’m not missing this for the world, there’s going to be one time we win a game like this and I’m going to party and stop off at every junction on the way back if we do and get absolutely slottoed. Come on you red and white wizardsssssssss!

As of 11:17 today

360 left available to buy now
323 left in block 524
10 left in block 521
4 left in block 522
3 left in block 504
3 left in block 510
2 left in block 501
2 left in block 502
13 left as single seats in every other block on the top

2,236 still blocked off
Assuming that 527 is Sunderland’s/segregation we won’t count that.
525&526 to open with 2,236 tickets (1118+1118)

35,531 - 2596 = 32,935 sold

Thats my guess anyway!

Bout 500 left in block 524,odd seats dotted around here and there in other blocks.
So unless they are still holding blocks back
then we’ll probably sell out.

Wish I’d read that before I’d posted!

Not sure that 526 has as many seats as 525 due to the area carved out for the TV cameras

Right, anyone wanting to change their seat.

Ring ticket office (they are open today got through to them in about 2 minutes). Spotted a ticket at front of 109 and had it in my basket ready to check out so wanted to check if I could change it.

Bloke said it's fine as tickets haven't been sent out yet. Managed to get me a different seat in 114 instead (109 one was 3rd row, 114 one is further back so better view theoretically).

As soon as tickets have been sent out early next week, no amendments can be made so presumably today (and possibly tomorrow if they are open, maybe Monday morning) is your last chance.

Fantastic effort really.

Tallies with what our max potential match-going support base likely is at the moment, which given quite a few aren't bothering for whatever reason be it financial or past pain, is probably around 35-37k or thereabouts with 1/10 or so not attending - based purely on my own anecdotal evidence. Of course we'll never know what that actual figure is but probably as good a guess as any.

Hope you're not driving.

Anyone got two spare tickets available PLEASE!
Given your ‘biography’ / location on the globe I reckon a direct approach to the club/ ticket office may be worth a shot
They could ‘exploit’ you for positive PR - Blades travelling from China etc
Perhaps Danny Hall,(understand he’s still ‘on’ here?) Hal (& other social media types) could even do a ‘piece’
Reckon there may also be others on here with ‘power & influence’ that may be able to help
Best of luck !!

I think you're right. Loads of season ticket holders aren't going this time around and we're still going to sell over 32,000. I don't think these sort of games give you an accurate estimate of how many fans you have as smaller clubs often double their crowds at these sort ot events but seeing as this is our 6th Wembley trip in 15 years I think you can make a better guess with us.

We're looking at 35-37,000 being the max for us as a club right now I think. If we ever actually achieved something like European football I think that's the ballpark we are looking at in terms of what we could attract week in, week out.

We've made huge strides in the last 20 years. Hopefully we win and keep building

If we were a successful club we’d attract north of 40k, no doubt about it, we have loads of fans that can’t be arsed due to one thing or another, not going to get into it as it would take all day and I don’t have all day mate. Out for a pint later? 😁

Its closed for the weekend. Thanks for replying, we are desperate
Perhaps inappropriate to ‘joke’ in your ‘time’ of need but I understand that Li Tie won’t be needing his complementary ex player tickets from the club (or Chengdu’s Blades)😳

We won’t sell out.Majority who wanted to go would have secured tickets now.

Certainly the majority will have, but there will be some who have deliberately waited.

Having done North upper (Hull), North lower (Huddersfield), West upper (Man City) and East lower (Burnley), this time we decided to wait for the release of tickets that best replicated the view of the pitch that we have at the Lane from our South Stand seats.

So, although as season ticket holders we could have been in for tickets first thing, we didn’t purchase until last night - block 524.
