Will we sell out?

Correct! I pre booked a b&b the night we played Stoke it cost £91 for 2 nights breakfast included an free parking which I don't think is bad at all. No payment upfront an free cancellation untill the 22nd, checked yesterday and they've already gone up by £45. It's 7 mile from wembley and 2 mins walk from tube station so getting to and from it's ideal.
91 quid sounds exceptional!

Is the address 25 Cromwell Street?! 🤣😉

Most season ticket holders probably already go to the games with their family and friends, so I highly doubt allowing 2 tickets per season ticket, for Wembley, will result in a season ticket holder missing out.

In general, the ticket office do put up barriers for new fans, and they shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to go to a home game. A ticket should be purchasable online, “call the ticket office to see if they can sort it” isn’t the answer in 2025. Potential new support will see that as effort and put them off, it’s an online world now. The ticket office need to adapt in order to grow the fan base.
Several people have expressed that view which makes even less sense

Are you assuming that the season ticket holders friends and family have season tickets too ? If so why can't they just buy their own tickets ?
Or is the argument that the 23000 season ticket holders buy their friends and family a ticket but no one will miss out be cause we don't have enough fans. ?

So once we get to 35000 tickets the season ticket holders will have made sure that every single living blades fan on earth has got a ticket and no.seson ticket holders miss out. ?

I’m assuming there are a lot of season ticket holders who go as a family and/or group of friends and that’s who they will want to go to Wembley with. So not every season ticket holder will want the additional ticket.

To suggest all season ticket holders will buy additional tickets for Wembley is a bit far fetched. We could try it, end up selling out our allocation and potentially generate new fans. Or we could do what we have in the past, have loads of unsold seats and keep Frank happy.

The answer seems obvious to me

Increase season ticket holders to be able to purchase 2 tickets per holder.

But also reduce the time for season ticket holders to purchase before going on general sale.

We waste so much time on season ticket holders umming and arring about only buying 1 ticket that by time gets to general sale it's too short notice for people to make travel arrangements to go.

Our ticketing system has been outdated for over a decade now. (Don't even get me started about loyalty points for people who barely even go anymore except for big games but points don't ever fall away)

But they won’t all buy 2, I know season ticket holders that aren’t even going. I reckon if we’re allowed to buy 2, we’ll shift around 35K, restricted to 1 it will be around 25K…
Why would you want 2 tickets per ST holder? If any extra are wanted there are thousands to go at. The problem here is it takes United far too long to shift tickets to ST holders before tickets become available for members and general sale leaving people on the last rush to get tickets and organise transport which may or may not have already sold out by the time they do manage to get tickets. It says it all about the chaos at the ticket office that they have only this lunchtime opened one section of the BLUT, still a few thousand up there unavailable what they going to do put them on sale Monday morning?

If season ticket holders could buy extra without having to give details\names etc we would sell more, it’s not rocket science 😔

Ah so you want to buy ticket for some illegal immigrants then? Why would you be against giving out names and details? You aren't making much sense pal.
So in business if you put up barriers to your customers you don’t sell as many goods, it’s quite simple, I would like us to sell our allocation & not have Sunderland/Coventry fans take some of our allocation 😔

I cant get my head around the BLUT.

I can only think its a SAG safety decision, club finance decision or they held a percentage of tickets back for Coventry, as im sure you can split the concourse.

Surely the players would prefer 4 sides (other than away end) 75% full than 3 stands 90% full and a whole sea of empty seats behind a goal empty.

Having said all of the above, lets hope the club have told CW the reasons, so it just leaves the fans to moan and the players can focus on another push.

Just looked now and there is a very high percentage available up there, but hopefully they will go tomorrow when word gets around more.

So you really think every ST holder needs two tickets then? Trust me it won't happen and should we get to Wembley there will be more than enough tickets to go round again the problem is both at the lane for the Bristol game or any Wembley appearance is how much dithering the ticket office does before ticket go on general sale. I know some ST holders with 60k+ LP's need to have their ego's massaged so the can have that warm fuzzy feeling of being a massive Blade but people with modest amounts of LP's will still be able to get a ticket should we get to Wembley.

I’m talking about how to sell more tickets, you really don’t get it do you

You mean like last time we went to Wembley, when there we no points bands other than a minimal amount for “general sale”?

Ok so I am going to put a question out there. And I am expecting flack. I have been watching united for a long time, and any big game we have played in when folks wanted a ticket, I can’t remember anyone not getting one. Can any one please tell me how many have really missed out?
I'll tell you that pal ............ none. The trouble is whenever a big game crops up the ticket office phuck up and make it hard to sit with friends or you are on the last rush to get transport no need at all for 2 tickets per ST holder

There’s thousands by the minute at the moment, as they can’t sit together… other than the upper tier, which people have been calling for but still not bought tickets in.
Perhaps they're confused by the fact that the website says general sale from Tuesday 6th May

They haven’t held any back for Coventry as they’re playing Sunderland. They haven’t even sold out the bottom tier as Bristol only have 2007 tickets.

To be fair I have seen no announcement from the club other than a marketing e-mail late this morning on BLUT being available. More than likely a lot wanting to buy tickets Friday have seen only single seats and RV seats left and have resigned themselves to watching on TV.
It really is a farce that Chris Wilder is pleading for a full house yet the club still have 2000 of the best view seats unavailable for home supporters to buy, this is the crazy world of SUFC and the ticket office. I know you can never see the club do anything wrong but do try and look at it from the perspective of a casual pay on the day fan rather than someone with 60k+ LP's and a ST. This group of fans are once again being treat shabbily by the club as they were when we were last at this stage V Forest.

They can and regularly do plenty wrong.

I’m not saying it’s by any means perfect, I just think there’s a lot of excuses and blame being thrown their way at the moment, when if someone in that group fancies going, they can check the ticketing website or speak to the ticket office and buy a ticket.

The criticism i’d suggest is disproportionate to the even partial interest.

There’s plenty complaining about how we are “going to sell” tickets to a game we’ve not even qualified for yet, making up things that didn’t actually happen in the past with ourselves and other clubs :)

Well what is the reason they have held back sales of the BLUT? Does the ticket office still think it is like the FA cup where 25% has to go to away fans if possible as they did when they handed Forest a huge boost giving them all the lane end two years ago? That is what it smacks of to me, every time we have a big game we have this garbage because the club is run by a bunch of amateurs who don't seem to have learned anything from that mistake. And Chris wants a full house they are taking the piss.

The issue of having too many ST holders for two each is quite easy to solve, IMO.

If the allocation is 36k and we have 23k ST holders, for example, you sell them at two tickets per ST holder initially until 26k tickets have been sold. At this point, switch to one ticket per ST holder until a specified date for General Sale. When 26k have been sold, that's a maximum of 10k ST holders left who haven't got one (and that's if every ST holder bought two) and still 10k left at that point.

The Man City semi final debacle and the absolute shitshow of that opening game against palace only furthers my feelings that this club needs draining of the amateurish clowns that have been holding it back for years.

Club needs to get a grip, if anything like that semi final shitshow happens in the event of us getting to Wembley again then people need sacking.

Balls to peoples feelings, I’m sick of planks and simpletons holding our club back.

What are people afraid of if we give season ticket holder 2? Us selling out? Most ST holders sit with another ST holders anyway, and we currently can't sell out at home, with £36 tickets.
Some people wouldn't rather us only sell half our tickets and only "proper Blades" go, than entire kids and new fans to start following.

I keep seeing that the club waiting too late for general sale means it’s apparently too late to sort travel arrangements.

Do our fan base not drive or own cars? Just seems like it’s another excuse to me, if someone is that desperate to go, they’ll find a way to get there.

As a season ticket holder, I want priority for the big matches so I have a better chance of getting a seat in the area I want to sit at a price I want to pay.

The day trippers can wait a day or two.

I can't get my head round why people keep repeating this

If 23000 people buy two tickets that's 46000 tickets
so only 18 thousand season ticket holders would be able to go ( with mates ) and 5000 would miss out not to mention everyone else

What sort of a fucked up system is that ?
You can’t just come in here with your basic maths and logic….
