So the dust has settled and the majority of pigs have reverted back to type. According to this lot all our wins have been because the teams have played terribly. They are in the process of rewriting history and our win will be a fluke against a side who didn't try by the end of the week.

Oh look another thread, happy days.

Perhaps we should wait until tonight before making a comment but you cannot escape the fact we have had a much better than expected start to the season. Yes, we will lose more than we did last season. Yes, there are better teams in this division. Yes, we will have a sticky patch along the way but at the moment we lie sixth in a division we were expected to struggle in.
The inescapable truth is that we are a much better side than most of our opponents think and they should underestimate our ability, fitness and strength of character at their peril.

Fucking idiot.

The type of pig that thinks their players are all better than ours. Ones like that will never learn. You simply cannot educate a pig....you might be able to teach it to not defacate on the carpet....or ring a bell for a treat...but that’s about your lot.

Highly typical of that element of their fanbase that many of us despise. Deluded doesn't come close. I wonder how he would twist things had that goal v Boro stood or realised tbat we actually only had the ball in play for more than 27 minutes in the 2nd half v Norwich.

Unfortunately for him many of his fellow supporters don't agree. All of my Owl mates are now genuinely worried that we will finish well above them and might very possibly go up.

Personally I am just enjoying the ride but should we win tonight I might dare to dream.

Ha ha

So whats their rational for only drawing with bottom half teams QPR and Burton, drawing with bottom 3 team Sunderland, narrowly beating bottom 3 team Brentford, losing to bottom team Bolton in the cup, and losing to Preston, beating Forest when they gifted them a few goals like Derby did for us, and then getting battered by us - who they think are average.

Just a shame that his 'logic' about our 'underdog status and promotion bounce*' didn't lead him to conclude the obvious:-

-We were lucky with 4 flukey goals
-Sides know what to expect and find us out
-Wilder can't handle this level and will make mistakes
-We will slip down the league
-Wednesday will get their revenge at the Lane
-We will continue to slip down the league
-We will bottle the final day relegation decider and go down.

It is so obvious really if you think it through....

* bounce - Official Blades word of the month

Our determination and drive etc I think can only be attributed to our resolute defending.

But I've seen a determined attacking side play as skilfully as we do. First 5 minutes we had a bit of corner play with Baldock / Basham and I think Brooks where he nearly tore them apart.

Putting bodies on the line and tackles may be down to our drive but the passing play is something you have to applaud.

This is about right to be honest. Nearly 30k grunters there on Sunday, just a small % of that talking shite on their blogs, on radio pig. The rest know the score, literally & metaphoricaly.

Maybe,he should worry that if we had our shooting boots on it could have been a lot worse, 2-8 :) as for the return game they won't handle the atmosphere

They can say what they like and I think that post is what they want to believe rather than just admitting the truth that actually we do have a decent team. Comments like the above from the Wednesday fan just go to show that he doesn't understand that football is won by a team not by individuals. Just look at Leicester last season! They would have got relegated playing as they were and yet they won the title the season before. When they played as a team again under Shakespear they looked quality again. But they just don't get it that many of their players are no better than the top players in other sides. Maybe, just maybe, John Fleck is better than Bannan!?

Will they act any different for the return fixture ?
Will they speak any differently ? ......NO they won't.

They can say whatever they like before a Derby match because in their deluded heads they cannot possibly lose. Their deluded brains give them licence to be able to say whatever they like without repercussions because they'll always be a deflection from the truth.

United fans hit my Granny
They are crap but we didn't turn up
Wilder is unprofessional he's trying to get Carlos sacked - Why anybody connected to United would want this I don't know

They look like a right bunch of twats now, they can live in denial all they like but they look like a right bunch of twats

The pigs are still claiming luck is on our side but fortune has and will always favour the brave.

They are just bitter, deluded pigs. Saw my other half's uncle for the first time yesterday, I asked him what he thought. his exact words were, ' 4 lucky goals'. I just laughed and walked off.

Their genuine worry should be the goals we didn't score, not the ones we did.

Could have been 5 or 6 and could be in January.

As many have said, there seems to be 2 camps of 'em:-
Camp 1 - The nobs like the one quoted in the original post.
Camp 2 - The normal (well, as normal as you can get - you know what I mean....) more rational ones

I have a Camp 2 neighbour. It took him 3 days to show his face but he did this morning and was full of praise for the Blades. Alright - he didn't want to keep the conversation going for long but he was gracious in defeat and didn't try to explain it away as 'lucky' or a 'bad day for them'. Just a quiet, envious acknowledgement of what we turned up with that they didn't. And I think he loves David Brookes more than his kids - even he was laughing his nuts off at what Brookes did to Hunt!! He met himself coming back, that nob.

As for promotion, it really is early days and truth be told, before the season started I'd have settled for a place in the top half of the league ready for a push next season. That said, we're ahead of schedule with a group of players who look 'together'. Who knows where that might get us & tonight will be good test - the atmosphere should be banging (not bouncing) and I cannot wait to get in & listen to the 237 new songs that have been shared on here since Sunday.

Similarly a decent (Camp 2) lad at the gym came over to me this morning and said we were 'fantastic'.

I could tell it really hurt but he knew that to say anything less, would invoke derision and far more piss taking. I was out of breath at the time and just nodded sagely, but really should have ripped into him.

The nodding sagely was potentially a brilliant (if unplanned) masterstroke of a response! He'd have expected the rip & you'd have been fully justified in its delivery. Yet a sage nod as if to say "I don't really need to say anything here, do I?" leaves them with no option but to scuttle away and crumple up their own £20 note as some sort of stress ball.

Genius at work! God level effort Coco.

The pigs come in two forms, that's true

The ones that are deluded beyond all sensibility

And the ones that try to be tactful and magnanimous but still use terms like little clubs when describing others. I'm not fooled by them and their attempts at reality via their sanctimonious patronising bullshit.

They're all as pathetic and deluded as each other and long may it continue, it's exactly the edge that United need during our games against them

I too was at the gym this morning. I noticed the Wednesdayite speaking to the Blade. When he nodded sagely, the camp Wednesday fan turned away and wept uncontrollably into his sweatbands while singing "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor

Bored of hearing about them now.

Every club that is above Wednesday in the league is probably lucky to be according to them. They are that MASSIVE.
