And if Bash had stayed in postion instead have been pushed into midfield we would have still been 1-0 up. Jags is shot so why play him?

Pushed Bash in for legs and energy, and he did ok. Jags is a worry with the high line though, but brave to try it.

It was not brave but foolish with their pace. That said, Wilder still has my full support. 100%

He made a mistake to bring him on. However we may have still lost if bash stayed in defense and lunny or Norwood came on.

That high line was something nobody expected to see, especially Man U, and it worked quite well for the first 15 or so. They got caught offside 3 or 4 times early on.

It's just so fucking typical of our season that we go 1 up and lose Berge two minutes later. So typical of a side down on its arse.

I didn't mind the Jags sub as much as others seems to, but regardless of opinions on that, we seemed to have a plan that was working (after seemingly going to Southampton without a plan of any sort) and it was shot to shit out of nowhere because we had to make a change.

And even despite that, we managed to drag ourselves back into the game a bit towards the end.

Losing Berge might be a blessing in the same way that losing McBurnie was.

I said I didn't mind it as much as others. There's always going to be issues bringing Jags on. I just saw the reasoning behind putting him in defence and pushing Bash up.

I don't think there was a suitable substitute we could've made to compensate for the loss of a key player in the game plan, put it that way.

It's been done to death on here how badly we suffer with Norwood in the midfield because he can't do the defensive work well.

If that sub had been made, I can't imagine the scoreline would've been any different. There's an argument that it could've been worse.
