Has the make up to be a truly terrfying top class player would want us to squeeze 12m ish out if he has to go. Would also help us keep hamer etc for the short term.

I think we'll keep Hamer anyway, unless he decides to leave for higher things. If he's got a release clause then it's up to him, so long as the amount is met.
I would like to keep Osula, but I don't think he's ready for a regular start yet.

Probably a necessary sale at that price.
Not dissimilar to when we had to sell Ramsdale, Brooks and Che Adams to fund a promotion campaign.

He's got some great raw attributes and it'd be a shame to not see him develop here, but I wouldn't have him as a starter this season anyway.

Not many considered Arblaster a starter 12 months ago, but he ended up captaining us.

Kinell. Not undermining your opinion but I think that's the biggest call I've ever, ever seen on here. And when you think of some of the stuff posted on here that's pretty bloody big.

Anyway, I like Osula...nowt not to like, he seems to have the right attitude which hasn't always been the case with other young prospects. He's quick, strong and he can finish and only young so the rest can come.

Just now though, his decision making isn't there (as you'd expect at his age) but I'm not too convinced about his touch and he does look clumsy. GLTTL and obviously stick a sell on clause in there but for £10m you've got to snap their bloody hand off.
He has pace. The most frightening attribute a striker can have. Ask any defender !

Some evidence recently to suggest his 2 biggest flaws seem to be ironing themselves out.

1. Knowing where the onion bag is.
2. Situational awareness and understanding when to pass and when not to. Been really guilty of not putting his strike partner in when better positioned in the past.

I’ve said it a few months ago. I think the kid is the real deal tbh.

Seems a few folk up North might think so too !👀.

UTB.

My first instinct was to leap at the chance to get a good fee for a striker who didn’t look even close to hitting a barn door last season.

However, I remember positing laughing emojis that we managed to get a million for Calvert lewin as I thought he looked limited, before subsequently being thoroughly humbled.

I would be interested to see how he goes on playing on the left for us this season in that role Emile Heskey had for Liverpool, especially with his pace to run at the opposition as well as his ability to come inside and curl a hard shot at goal.

Not even remotely surprised about this. A particularly high ceiling this kid.

We should have been in a position to let him have a loan last year to really test his development and push on.

If he stays injury free, there is a regular PL player in there. Maybe a £50m one.

I’d prefer him to stop but money talks.

It's like championship manager sell one player funds 3 or 4 how on earth have we spent 3 of the last 5 years in the top tier of English football and be so much worse off. It's the Blades way i suppose

Him and Jebbo both nowhere near being top prospects, Jordan Slew mark two and three.
Bit more of Nixon casting the bait and S24 taking it hook line and sinker.

Bournemouth for sure and Newcastle (no doubt amongst others with an eye on the lad) seem to disagree with you on that !!

Which is why a PL team that can shop and has scouts across the globe has chosen to pick him up...

I honestly think he would do ok in the Championship appreciate he would miss some he is a bit erratic however can't keep loaning the lad out give him a chance if he stays

When you see Bettissss saying other teams have received £50m fees for their players, it does make you think that maybe we should be holding out for more, but he's not a Bellingham at the end of the day, probably more of a Calvert-Lewin, and so maybe it'd be better to get him on a longer contract and give him the chance to have a proper breakout season

Maybe they should make it 28 days instead to piss off the bitter miserable old generation even more.

Not only do we have to work longer and harder for their care and pensions, we also have to pipe down about recommendations about treating brain injuries!

Osula not a top prospect ,Jesus wept
Not sure why Jesus's is crying but we move on, McAtee, Doyle and loads more young players at Prem and championship level are way in front of these two. To use you biblical terms, for christ sake they are not even playing at cat a level.

He's got the lot. When it clicks there's no ceiling for the kid. £10m really isn't a good price for him, but I can understand why we'll be considering it
The only thing he's lacking is that instinct Infront of goal imo. He's shown it in the u21s but that's a completely different situation

Don't think we are judging on what level of academy they came through ,Doyle is a bit part at wolves ,mcatee is know where near the man city side . And as they are not our players I'm not really bothered ,osula is a great prospect and as such should be part of our transformation.utb

If he’s shown it in the U21’s, then he possesses that instinct. What he’s been lacking in the 1st team is composure. That should come with experience.

If Newcastle flash a bit of leg to Osula and £10m to us he’s as good as gone.

Sell on clauses are all well and good but it relies on them being sold at a profit, I can think of Walker and Maguire recently where this has happened so it’s not something we should bank on.

Better to maximise what we can get now if he’s off.
