Will forest be the highest attendence of the season on sunday?

Why on earth would you want to give the Florists more than 6000 tickets it would not make for a better atmosphere thats for sure
We have home advantage and its supposed to be that an advantage giving them 11000 is a fekking ridiculous idea.
Im sure they would do it for us

Can you imagine the stick we'd get off the pigs if we gave them the John Street (it did also cross my mind though).

Just a shame that the Blades fans can't be as much up for the game as the Forest fans, then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I've been online this morning to get my brother some tickets on the South Stand and you struggle to get 3 together. Most places it's just singles left. The Kop is fine, it doesn't let you purchase John Street tickets online and the westfield corner isn't available either. I wouldn't be surprised if Forest get the whole Bramall Lane end including the whole corner.

Somebody said the Westfield has an exit in the south stand, is this correct? If so, on safety grounds, we may only be able to give them half - the half that exits on the Bramall Lane stand ?!?

What are the chances of this game being postponed. More rain forecast for tomorrow and the weekend?

If it is to be postponed, I hope they make a decision before Sunday to help travelling supporters.

I think so - so I'd expect a few thousand more in the run up, and a 25,000 gate.

UTB

It's taken me by surprise. Some bugger has just bought my seat so I've bought one nearby. Hardly any left on the South Stand at all.

Rumour is Forest fans have bought tickets in the South Stand. I'm sure our "H block" will be out in force too.

Problem is the tickets went on sale for the cup match, when loads of our fans were already en-route to Blackpool. that allowed others to 'nick' the tickets. so in many cases the really dedicated fans are the ones missing tickets.
I guess a lot of them, being desperate not to miss a match, are trying the home end.

if we'd been allowed 7500/8000 tickets then this might not of been a problem so much.

You mean by buying them? With their own money? It's a bloody outrage, especially in this era of mobile technology and instant information.

Wouldn't solve the apparent technological illiteracy though would it...

How many tickets have forest been allowed? Guessing they will be on the top tier, seems a waste if you ask me. Its not like we sell out every week! Lets get it packed out and bring the atmosphere back at BDTBL

They were given an initial 4,700 and have asked for more. I presume that is the full Bramall Lane end

They have the whole of the Jessica Ennis Stand, I'm not sure what more the club can do.

Its alright Forest saying they should have more, but if this game was at the City ground, how many do you think they would have given us?

As many as we would be entitled to - it's not up to them, it's up to the regulations of the competition. If they want to give more than the permitted allocation then that's up to them, but they can't be smart-arses and give less than the permitted away allocation.

So we the home side should bow down to you and let you have 8000 tickets?

How many fans do you normally take to away games?
Oh and if it was at your ground (or a replay) how many will you give us?
The only problem is that Notts Forest released tickets early so it was their fault entirely why the "REAL" fans havent got a ticket.

not saying anyone should bow down, but earlier in the week there seemed to be an air of apathy from the Sheffield end regarding the match, whereas the Forest fans were really up for it. I cant explain why your fans where like that, maybe its the way our respective seasons are going. and i only replied earlier on in the thread when someone mentioned about Forest fans being in the home end. the reason(like i explained), is because demand outstripped supply by two to one.

see you Sunday (if its on)

Why did you take such poor support to PNE in the last round then? Whilst we took nearly 6k to Villa and 2.5k to Fulham.

Well i can think of 3 reasons off the top of my head regarding Forest

1 its a weekend.
2 its local
3 its not on telly.

as for why you took 6k to Villa, but didn't seem bothered about a round 2 matches closer to Wembley i dont' know, you'll have to answer that one :)

You should go on porktalk and have a massive-off. Two European Cups versus a fanbase you can see from Mars.

Not sure the world could cope with that much hubris….

Got this e-mail from the club yesterday:

Blades face Forest in FA Cup 5th Round

The Magic of the FA Cup continues on Sunday as the Blades take on Championship outfit Nottingham Forest in a bid to reach the Quarter Finals.

With a bumper crowd expected for the 3pm kick off at Bramall Lane and tickets already limited in the South Stand make sure you secure your seat now! Tickets are priced at £15 Adults, £10 Season Ticket Holders & Concessions and £5 Juniors (please note prices increase by £3 on the day of the match).

The Ticket Office has extended opening hours on Saturday from 9am – 4pm to give fans additional time to claim their seats.

Couldn't get two together on South Stand yesterday, looking at around 26k I guess. 17 home fans plus the entire population of Notts.

Still looks to be plenty of seats on the sides of the Kop and John St will have spaces because of the family stand restrictions. I reckon 22k.

As of 15th Feb 13:07, just 30 tickets remain on the south stand! How many can you fit on the south stand?

Although I've already contributed to this Mystic Meg thread, as we're a day away from this game, I reckon we're easily looking at 25 - 28000, as Florist seem to be bringing a healthy following to swell the crowd.
