Tuesday 8th December 1998 - Nationwide Division Two
Manchester City 1 - 2 Mansfield Town

Wednesday 7th December 2011 - Uefa Champions League
Manchester City 2 - 0 Bayern Munich

Any citeh fan walking out of Maine Road that night would have called you stupid if you had said that in 13 years, they would be beating Bayern Munich in the Champions League and eventually winning the Premier League in injury time with a goal from the £38 million son in law of Diego Maradona.

Weird things happen in football, especially when very rich people get involved.

Keep the Faith.
That means I'll be at least 70 before we can hope to win owt :(

I've been following United for 50+ years, but it seems to be a one-way relationship - they never come and see me when I'm bad.

If they win anything before I fall off my perch, I'll build you a clock.

George.

football used to run in cycles.. i'm not sure that this is still the case.. however as i explained to my lad the other day.. if you'd have told me in the late 80's that Liverpool would be 4th bottom in 2012 i'd have said you were bonkers and i'd have said the same about Leeds in the 70's..
in the 70's when i were a lad, the top teams were Leeds, Liverpool, Wolves.. Man Utd were mediocre and got relegated in one season (74?).. Chelsea were a bog standard yo yo outfit a bit like West Ham or us

I am cautiously optimistic that I am immortal.
However if the OP means will we win a cup, rather than win just anything, then it's still probably a no in my never ending life.

However the question was in Bendylegs lifetime.
If he thinks beyond doubt that it's a no then lets go and kill him to give us a chance!!

Does anyone know what he looks like or where he lives?? :-)

Ha ha. You aren't immortal VB but I once saw some graffiti on Shoreham Street that said Keith Edwards is God.

Must be right cos when we hear him on Radio Pig we just think "oh God!"

im a handsome fella , why kill me, nasty git ,

Plus, if we wait long enough we may win Division One. Like we always dreamed off. Just got to wait til the Championship is called Premiership 2, league one is called Premiership 3, league two is called the nintendo spunkshooter 3000 world series and the conference is called Football League Division One, and we can win the big one!

In the dim and distant past, if memory serves? Rotherham have won more that us?

Not quite. They got to the first League Cup Final in 1961, but lost to Villa.

Rotherham do though have the distinction of reaching a major final more recently than we have.
