I think it is churlish to pick out a negative from that performance, they have some outstanding individual players who had a good ten minutes after being battered by a far far better team, our team. Anyone can make comments after the fact to suit their own agenda, but to be so negative & look for something to jump on can't be a Blade, after all the crap we have endured we are finally seeing football we could have only dreamed of under four short years ago, & the best thing is this journey is only just beginning. I partially agree with the OP that Wilder's worst trait has been his substitutions. However not for some time and not in this game. He has thankfully abandoned the "Substitutions for Dummies" manual he used to use and doesn't change shape unless necessary. My only comment would be that I think Sharp for Moose would have been better to keep the press going. McBurnie isn't built for that type of game. He lollops up to a defender giving them more time, whilst Sharp makes a beeline for them at speed.

Our midfield is very good
McGoldrick and Mousette are doing brilliant

I am chuffed to bits with Utd. I had us finishing 12th this season and got laughed at mainly by Wendy fans.

My only negatives are we spent 20 million on McBurnie who I don’t think was worth it and I think with Sharp only playing bit parts this season we could have done with someone like Sharp.

That is it though. One player I don’t rate.

I can understand the OPs frustration at not taking 3 points. We deserved to. But I’ll never criticise Wilder for trying to win a game. He didn’t have much choice but to replace a striker with a striker. We knew that losing Mousset would rob us of a pacey threat up front. But at the moment we don’t have an alternative. Hopefully we might get one?

However I don’t agree to trying to see the game out. And the suggestion of Besic, based on what we’ve seen so far, would be nothing more than a gamble.

OP to be honest I think you have had a bit of a nightmare. The working of the title and the timing is everything. It seems like you couldn’t wait to jump in when things didn’t go as well and we conceded the third. Maybe in future wait until the game has finished and maybe use different wording in the title.

I think it may have been a mistake to not bring on a midfielder but if we had done that it would have invited pressure on. Just watched MOTD2 and they are criticising OGS for going defensive when they go the third. If we had gone defensive and conceded 3 people will have said why change it.

Maybe it’s worth giving the opposition praise, don’t forget we are playing Manchester United who may not be the greatest team at the moment they do however have world class players who can change a game in the blink of an eye. Rather than look to have a go at your own team maybe the opposition deserve the plaudits.

We were brilliant today (again). Bossed them for 72 minutes. They had a good 12 minutes with a world class front 4. & yet after going 3-2 down we refused to give up.
If anyone would still ‘Snatch your hand off for 17th place’ then i’m sorry but get a grip FFS.
The sky is the limit for Wilder & this squad of players we have. Just surviving is nowhere near good enough. If Egan plays today we win,simple as that. The disruption to our usual back 6 played a major part today.

How is it Wilder’s fault that the defence absolutely crumbled for 10 minutes. No manager can legislate for that. It was his subs that swung the game back in our favour.
