My sentiments exactly. I could go no further.

This was always my main concern as I am not calling for his replacement as I see no point in it. Nobody can get this team out of this position.

However, he has to show some adaptation beyond his own stubbornness but instead it looks like he's now trapped in a Berlin Bunker of his own devising, possibly being reassured by a diminshing number of assorted, obsequious loyalists.

There appears no end to this hell. Nothing lasts forever though.
Allardyce saved Sunderland after 9 games in which they had 3 points, the situation is still recoverable but increasingly this team under the current management team don’t appear capable.

This is the most worrying aspect for me. Last year Wilder laid into the players after winning at Everton.
The first 30 minutes were awful. We struggled to get out of our half. Just because we hadn't conceded, surely doesn't mean that everything was OK. Chris never used to sugar coat it.
True and I suspect this is at the heart of our issues.

We didn’t moan at all last year about big teams and budgets. The mentality was all about having a go and giving the opposition something to think about; not sitting back with 20% possession.

I truly do not understand why we have become so negative, particularly when we are conceding every single game anyway. We may as well try and score a few.

He did have a go at JoC, Norwood and Lunny for letting the first Wolves goal in so maybe he'll have a go at Egan and Berge in February? 🤷‍♂️

I think we should stick with Wilder, he deserves the chance to try and regroup next season but beyond that I’m not so sure.

Has there ever been a greater fall from grace in such a short space of time, LMA Manager of the year then oversees the lowest points total for a Premier League team ever, the very next season?

I'm not in the "want big sam" camp but even if I was I honestly don't think he'd take the job even if we offered it to him as I'm sure he turned down a club over the last few years as he thought they were too much of a lost cause.

The thing that's frustrating me the most at the moment is his stubbornness to change the formation even though everyone can see it just isn't working anymore.

When we end up chasing the game he usually switches formation and we almost always look better (not great still) immediately so why not do it from the start???

Even better, if we're down anyway, just go back to the formation that served up the best football most of us have ever seen at the Lane. Get a number 10 in.

I'd rather us go down attempting to play attacking football and scoring the odd goal than the current eye-burning borefests we're seeing now.

It's not even a shot in the dark because we know for a fact it works.

I'm sure Fulham will go on to lose today and get relegated but at least they're having a go. At least their fans can say they were beating Liverpool, not managing to put 10 men behind the ball against Southampton and not conceding for a bit.

Take a look at the premier league table by the wealth of the club owners. I think the prince is 19th. In the long run it is about money and we are just not wealthy enough. I never thought I would say that but it’s becoming more and more clear that we cannot afford to recruit the sorts of players who are game changers on their own ability alone

Yet we’ve spent over £100m on new players? Wilder has been backed and the club has invested all the money it can.

Other clubs have spent nowhere near this amount or spent wiser - Leeds, Burnley, Brighton, West Brom for instance and are all currently in a better position than us.

Wilder has to take blame for this. We’ve not won in 16 games! That’s nothing to do with money

The question is, if he really believes this, what faith can we have that he can put it right this season or next? I just can't see how he can turn this round, it is so completely shite and he doesn't even seem aware of how bad it is.
Agree on this. There isn’t one area of the pitch that we are can say is functioning properly. Chris will have to pull some trees up to turn it around. Do we even have the players to do it ?

We can all see that confidence has gone. when that happens nowt goes your way.the complete opposite to the last few seasons.
You can,t blame it,s because we have lost O, Connell to injury or any other player out injured. covid no crowd can,t blame it on that either.
Players making stupid errors you can,t do that in the prem and get away with it. that is to blame.
I am not going to question Chris Wilder because he has given us the pride back. he is the best manager for us even if we go down.
Ok I don,t think Ramsdale has been a good signing so far. Macburnie and Burke the same. transfer market opens soon.
A left-sided centre back is a priority and possibly centre forward. I also think we need a Trevor Hockey type of player as well.
We just have to hope things will turn around for us soon. UP THE BLADES.

Can we furlough him until next season, give him a break and bring him back for next year's promotion push? I'm joking of course but he's looking like a bit of time off to regain whatever he had that got us up here. I'm no medical expert but he looks depressed, something I have been through myself. He needs a break but I wouldn't want to lose him permanently.

Maybe not but it seems to me that clubs who aspire to challenge the big six have big money behind them. In the short term I can go with the Roy of the Rovers narrative but for long term premier league competitiveness you need the resources to attract the best. I am massively proud of what we have achieved we have over achieved and then some but in the long term ???

I know, he should have just come out and said what a pile of shit that was to boost the players confidence even more?

We’re not doing ourselves any favours when it’s common knowledge our shot conversion is low but then play with a “structure” that aims to reduce the amount goals we concede by surrendering possession meaning then every attempt we do have needs to go in. It’s all very contradictory and nonsensical.

I can't for the life of me see why McBurnie was fine in the 46th minute and then fucked 30 seconds later. Is this the same medical team looking after JOC and Moose? Incidentally McBurnie that dive made you look the complete tosser you are. UTB

I think they were hoping he could carry on as he seems to be Mr Favourite at the moment.

Worst interview I've heard since he started. First time he's not been honest with fans. He needed to say nothing or admit how terrible we were today. He also gave no confidence to anyone when answering how he could change things.
That was the worst bit. And he asked himself the question, and then couldn’t answer it. And bravery is not a solution. This is top-level, elite class, billion pound, sport. And the best we’ve got is being brave? We’re not going to the dentist. We can ‘bravely’ smack the ball to McBurnie’s face every game and surprise, surprise we’re still going to get handed our arse.

We need invention, innovative use of resources, the element of surprise, well thought through game plans, plan A, B, C, & D.

We’re so slow in every area of the pitch, last season we were playing a fast, dynamic, yet disciplined style of football where attack was often the best form of defence.

Its obvious that this season we are less organised and considerably slower in our attacking build up. I think the signings we’ve made have derailed our unique style of play. But I think particularly Berge has been guilty of upsetting the rhythm, whilst Wilder seems hell bent on keeping him in the side, whatever the cost. I sincerely hope someone takes him off our hands in January 😩

O'Connell was ruled out for the season the day before the transfer window slammed shut. I'm sure CW would have appreciated the hindsight of what would happen, and if he had known he would have strengthened in that position
JoC was knackered after the first lockdown , needed an operation but we played him half-fit , it was OBVIOUS to anyone watching him when he came back in that he wasn't right - bad mismanagement of the situation which has significantly fucked up the current season

Let's face it, if he wasn't a 50 something year old Blades fan that all the other 50 something year old Blades fans on here see as a reflection of themselves everyone would be calling for his head. His pre-season planning, signings and tactics have been awful.

100% This.

That’s ridiculous, I think you are conveniently glossing over a few other minor details.

You do remember where we were four years ago don’t you or have you just awoke from a coma? 🤦🏻‍♂️

That, and being a manager with numerous promotions on his CV, 2 of which were with us, turning around a decade long shit show, getting us to the premier league on a shoestring budget during a period that most 50 years old's would acknowledge as their best years of supporting The Blades.

But other than that, it's all about him being 50 years old, and a bit like us. No, really ;)
