I can't see that being true tbh.
A more interesting general point is that Peterborough were quite successful with a policy of buying from the lower divisions, often non-league. This isn't working as well for them now and I wonder if it's because other clubs have caught on to this? Once other clubs are also scouting non-league it puts up the price of potentially good players and makes it harder to land them. Instead of three or four good ones going to a couple of clubs, they'll be three or four going to different clubs at a higher price.
They bought a kid from Dover last week, and according to the local rag down here they have already turned down £250k from another league one club (rumoured to be Charlton)!
