Wilders post match interview

I've posted before that Wilder is just making too many mistakes this season and he was at it again today.
Wrong starting team selection, Donavan and Peck should have started. Choudhury shouldn't have been brought back in.
Should have made changes at half time bringing on Seriki, Peck and Donavan instead of wasting the first 12 minutes.

Apart from when he says that if he had left out BBD or Chong for Donovan the fans would have complained. That’s just concerning.
I mean he is kind of right – if Chong had been dropped plenty of fans would have asked why BBD is in ahead of Chong, and if BBD had been dropped a good number would have said he offers more than Chong.

The number that would have been critical for starting Donovan over either of them though would have been negligible.

I was actually dreading going to the match today, but my son persuaded me to go. I won't be wasting Friday evening going to watch us get beaten by Wrexham and then putting out best players on for the final part of the match.
If I lived in Sheffield I could see the team Wilder has selected and then decide whether or not to go.
Wilder is getting worse as a manager, and needs to retire.

Can’t see how BBD offers more than Chong so far this season, should have been Chong and Rom , Peck and Phillips, and I get that Femi can only do 30 mins atm. Also get he wants to get Blaster back to where he was and the best chance of that is playing him with Phillips and I think he will but atm Peck is playing better why not play your best players.

You get more from BBD on the right and off the bench. That said he shouldn't be starting ahead of Chong or Donovan.

Which part of his first half assessment did you disagree with and why?
What else could he say? We all saw it. Praising him for stating the bleeding obvious. 🙄 Only on S2. He should have replaced Arblaster and BBD at half time 60 minute or so subs aren’t forced on him. Neither was involved enough to deserve to come out for the second half. Peck and Donovan are far better choices. As we saw.

You could fit BBD, Chongy and Donovan in the same line up by playing 4231. Or Donovan just off Bamford.
If he doesn't like dropping players if they have played well, that doesn't work when Cannon scores then is benched for the next game. Great for his confidence. As for the 1st half, are the players not listening to him regarding instructions?

Who's praising him? I thought it was a fair assessment and pretty much how I saw it. If we're basing substitutions on being involved enough then any 5 from 9 should have been hooked at HT.

I’d wouldn’t play him wide full stop ., when he played under Hecky as a CF in a shit team in the PL he scored 6 in 14 .
Hate him as a wide player looks a fish out of water .. if Bamford’s out I’d give One a start ., failing that give Diaz a pop dosn the middle again

Who are your other three who were as poor as those two?

Perm any of the nine other than Cooper and Phillips. FWIW Cannon and Chong would have been my choices. The first half was unacceptable and the game only changed when they were reduced to 10 men.

Wow!

Neither pulled any trees up but that really takes the biscuit.

Jesus!

So are you saying he made a mistake with his substitutions (or his starting XI?)
With hindsight his starting 11 although totally understandable given the result last week. We started slowly and ponderously which Wilder alluded to hence my reasoning that it was a reasonable interview.
