I'd be happy if we could just score a few..

Personally, at the minute I think the majority of the squad are hiding. Nobody takes any responsibility going forward, they always look for the easy pass and have absolutely zero attacking presence.Ultimately thereās not a single player in that side that I think will ever hide, ever quit, ever give up on each other and the good old cause. To quote the gaffer āweāll never leave through the back doorā and while ever thatās the case weāve always got a punchers chance and they deserve our support and pride.
If you think thatās a squad thatās hiding Iād like to watch the quality of sport youāve seen throughout your life because Iāve played in sides in multiple sports and it doesnāt look like that. Iāve watched united sides hide before nesh tackles walk around head down look lost before crossing the line and it doesnāt look like that. A side thatās hiding rolls over in the games weāve played this season and we havenāt.Personally, at the minute I think the majority of the squad are hiding. Until this changes, weāll sit in the relegation zone and with the performances from us lately, we deserve to be in it.
The current comfort- blanket narrative ( soon to be replaced by " at least we'll stuff Wednesday twice) is misleading.
If we go down with the points and goals we've managed thus far extrapolated over the season we are in Sunlan/Derby/Hudds territory. Ask them how it goes the following season when the club has become conditioned to a season of losing most weeks.
As a club, we simply have to find a way out of this hole.

We are playing negative football and appear to be limiting how many we are going to lose by and we dont lookalike scoring. At the moment we are looking like we are going 'out the back door' as the players ( and management) are not taking responsibility. We rarely overload the wide areas now. It goes to Baldock, Basham seems to go on the inside rather than overlap, then we pass it sideways or backwards. When Robinson plays it is even worse. The only game we seemed to be trying to overlap was Liverpool. If he works on attacking options through the middle, then his obsession with overloads on the wings will be more difficult to deal with
and we might have a chance of staying up.If his fixation with wing play persists without an extra threat through the middle giving teams
something else to think about then itās back to the championship.
Iād disagree weāre playing negative football I think weāre trying to play the same football we did last year but either because of injury or a lack of composure weāre making the wrong decision when we get into wide areas as youāve highlighted yourself. If that doesnāt change and we continue to play that way then Iād say youāre right and something intangible has changed in the squad and management however I still think they just need a settler. We are playing negative football and appear to be limiting how many we are going to lose by and we dont lookalike scoring. Anyway, no point overloading the wide areas if we are crossing the ball into the box.....and this is either the tactics or the players arent good enough...or both
