Wilder Turning It Round

It could not get any worse could it. Any decent manager should turn it around with the players available to them. Credit to them for recognising where it was going wrong,us in the south stand saw it ages ago.

So, turning it around then?

Get a grip mate it's not football manager

These are the same bunch of players many of us lambasted as useless at the start of the season. And they were useless. Something's changed. Playing with a smile on their faces now, enjoying their football. It was clear, or it is now, that we didn't have a bad team just an underperforming one. Tactics were wrong. Management was wrong. Wilder has to take credit for turning it around. Now we have confidence.
I was told a month ago that Wilder said it will need a month to get the players fit. A month has passed . QED.

Huge win today. We were outstanding first half, second half we ultimately had to show our resilience to gut it out. Leicester have plenty of quality.

Another building block, but we are playing much better - more direct and creating more chances.

It’s promising and really enjoyable as a fanbase to see a team and unit emerging, but another big test ahead.
Probably the best win of the three today as we held firm at the end when, perhaps a few weeks back we’d have crumbled completely.

We’ve also used the squad well and starting to get players back fit.

Coopers fitness is a worry but we can worry about that another day.

We played two poor sides before today and dispatched them professionally and easily. Today was a tough test against a side of quality as you said. Scoring some good goals this week too

What a week. Since this time last week, we have virtually doubled our points and goals scored tally.

Got to hand it to the guy.

Slowly turning it around.

Get them loans sent back. And a couple in.

Should have a strong finish to the season.

It is where we sit. Loosen up a bit,it’s improved but the bar wasn’t high and still isn’t.

Amusing how I need to loosen up when you're trying to take credit for the turnaround

Yeah but south stand said so. Easy then.

He jumped on Knill's back at the end as they left the pitch.

I'm just pleased he didn't do it to a few of our players 😁

So let me get this straight - we beat the bottom team, the third from bottom team, and just hold on against the ninth from bottom team, and we have to assume that this is managerial genius and we should all be sucking Wilder's dick rather than the team doing exactly what is par for the course?

The change to 4-4-2 was obvious. We were crying out for that.

The lad from Palace has made a big difference as we've got Peck back as a consequence.

Playing defenders in their preferred positions helps too.

Competition for Campbell was needed too, keep him on his A game.

Credit where it's due though, Wilder is turning it around. I had my doubts a few weeks ago, but he's made some changes and it's starting to pay dividends.

If he can sort out the fitness (our 2nd half drop off in fitness is concerning), get another good keeper, and clear out all the squad fillers for a couple of first team players then he will be well on the way to a successful season (and by successful I mean staying up comfortably).
