Super comments congratulating Bradford on team and club.

Wilder’s team, who have won 28 and drawn 10 of their 44 matches so far this term, were given a guard of honour by the visitors before kick-off and the United manager admitted: “I have a lot of respect for Bradford City with my connections there. “Personally, I hope they join us in the Championship next season (through the play-offs). They are a class act. “I got a couple of bottles of champagne from their chairman and (chief executive) James Mason. I am thankful of that. “And Stuart giving us the guard of honour was nothing I didn’t expect. “It is a class club and their supporters deserve to go up. “I am sure they will have a right good go at it in the next three or four weeks.” “Full credit to them, they never gave it up,” Wilder added. ““I felt we showed a different side to us in the second half. We sat in and allowed them to come on. We have beaten an excellent side

The man is a class act

The man certainly is . He is old school values with new school thinking . When I hear him talk on radio or TV it's like he is talking to me personally , no one else . He is a born leader . Our advantage is he will never fully be in vogue , hence no so called big club have ever taken a punt on him. Our gain every other chairmans loss.

If he had gone to Charlton , they would be getting promoted not us.

When someone or something in life does well I find continual praise gets a bit tiresome, I then try and put an alternative argument forward, bit of devil's advocate if you like to try and stop people going overboard the trouble is that this time I cannot come up with anything, he is truly a great lad, a certain president could well do with listening and taking a leaf out of our mangers book.

I was talking to a Wednesdayite today, who was telling me a tale about a mate of his (also pig) who saw Wilder in a pub and went over to congratulate him. Told Wilder he was Wednesday before giving congratulations and ended up having long conversation about Blades, owls and football in general.
Said what an absolute top bloke and wished they had him at the sty (heaven forbid!).

That doesn't surprise me in the slightest. If the Wendy is a half decent person and likes their football then they are going to get a knowledgeable discussion about the game.

Saw a clip on Facebook yesterday of Wilder returning home to family and friends with a crate of John Smiths under one arm and a crate of stella under the other...proper down to earth man of the people.

What a guy he is. Doesn't give it the big one and is very down to earth, never moans about refs, decisions against us etc just gets on wth it. If we get beat by a side e.g. Fleetwood he says it how it is and not just how fans want to hear it. If we've played poorly in games he's admitted it and it's just refreshing to hear. I hope he's here for a while as we could really go places with him in charge. All us fans wants is a team and manager who gives it 100% every game and this is what we've seen this season. Next season we're going to lose games and I just hope the fans don't get on his back too quickly; look at what fans were saying after the first four games and look now. It's not how you start it's how you finish. WERE ON THE MARCH......

I stand to be corrected has Chris ever blamed a ref this season or blamed anyone other himself or the players ??

massive respect feels good to be a Blade again, he focuses on the football and what he can control

UTB
I made the same point to my mate, as well as hardly any players getting booked for dissent.
(Which since the ref has already made his mind up is just plain idiotic)

Just a question i was wondering has a manager ever managed a 100 pts in consective seasons. Because i don't believe its ever happened. As teams promoted from 1 league dont go on to dominate league above

He had a pop after Walsall at home I think it was after the late disallowed goal, but it's certainly the exception rather than the rule. Top bloke

Not surprised at CW showing class yet again (as he has done all year, e.g. Keith Hill comments). I also agree with CW - Bradford are a decent sized club who should be higher than the third divsion.

Sir Chris wilder is a top bloke!!. He's got us automatically promoted and champions also!!. He just tells it like it is and even when we had the slight wobble in January!!. He never panicked and had faith in his and the teams own ability!. That's the measure of a bloody good manager and I guess a few chairmen are now thinking if only they'd made the call!!.

Have you also noticed our players don't plead and shout at the ref, they also just get up if they have been fouled, no play acting, we just look honest and hardworking

No sendings off for fuckwittery this season, nothing even close.

Just Basham's for his (forgiveable) full-blooded challenge at Scunthorpe - a fate Fleck could easily have suffered once or twice this season, as even could have Coutts.

You do wonder if they are under instructions not to badger refs (at pain of fines for doing so?), or whether the professionalism just arises naturally out of the current ethic at the club, installed by Wilder.

TBH, no, i hadn't noticed , but thinking back i can't remember any of our players throwing tantrums at the ref at what they may have thought bad decisions.
He has got players in with the right mentality who go out to play the game as it should be played, so credit to them and the management team.

ahem - Ladies and Gentlemen, let me present Samir Carruthers!

though maybe (with a bit of luck) Wilder may have told him not to do it again?
