I genuinely don't understand why we let the selling club dictate the reported fee. It happened with Ramsdale (£10m not £18.5m), Brewster (£18m not £23.5m) McBurnie(£17m not £20m), Robinson (£4m not £8m, Mousset (£4m not £10m). Obviously some of those are closer than others but to me it seems that part of the antipathy towards Ramsdale is down to the fact that he's perceived to be the fifth most expensive Premier League goalkeeper of all time whereas in reality we paid an average fee for an average PL keeper who's believed to have the potential to be a top PL keeper.
