He did his best ever work for us without a notable budget, wheeling and dealing on the back of a couple of big sales along the way. Like you say, when he has cash to spend, he doesn't always get it right.

Wilder persists with giving burrows 90 when the lad cannot defend. Hes great going forward but hjelde has been fine when hes played, just give an actual defensive person a chance to do some defending. Then we might keep a lead

The regression had a lot to do with McCallum’s injury followed by Wilder bringing in Hjelde and then deciding that he didn’t trust him.

McCallum’s been a bright spot this season - should be nailed on first choice LB next year.

I think he just wants the season to end so he can ditch half the squad and bring in more accomplished players and have a good pre season, which he indicated is already programmed .
His ability as a Championship manager will be tested in the next 6 months.

His ability to choose a captain with proper leadership qualities will be tested.
I won't be holding my breath.

Im a Wilder fan but this made me laugh..

I bet he ends up saying similar about Hjelde as well.

A player who would have likely helped us on Friday see out the match rather than watch Burrows struggle to take the skin off a rice pudding attempting to defend.
