Wilder interview

Is he likely to get good minutes? With every pre-season game likely to build the likes of Sharp & Clarke up to 90 minutes, it strikes me as unlikely that he’ll be getting the sort of 45 minute stint he had in Portugal again.

I would imagine Wilder has weighed the likelihood of him having a wonder game at Bradford vs the need to get him game time, fitness, and confidence. I’m a bit amazed, particularly given how last season went, that this loan move can be viewed as anything other than a good thing for all parties. It’s only till the next window – hopefully we then have a player that will be useful to the squad and that can challenge the front two.

Hmmm...

I have to point out that his recent record suggests he may well spend a significant portion of the loan period on the treatment table.

Indeed, though that’s more of a risk for the club loaning him to have to worry about.

I think he can get 45 minutes at Bradford but any minutes would be better than no minutes - unless his new club had a friendly on Tuesday they intended to play him in.

We really might as well leave it till after this game to let him out.

Who knows, you might get your wish if Bradford are the club loaning him!

That wouldn't be a bad move. Then if him or Charlie Wyke did well before January, we could be in an interesting position.... either take Ched back or offer them a swap!

That had crossed my mind, both playing for their own clubs in the first half then swapping sides for the second, just to cheer up both sets of fans!
Then i remembered it's not the school playground any more and the FA probably have rules about this sort of thing even for friendlies.

Bids in for Wyke from Peterborough and Sunderland.
