Wilder interview

I think the interview shows Brooks had his head turned by his tw@t of a new agent. Crucially for me though, is sale has taken place with CW consent and involvement, and it's looking like CW is getting most of the funds. It makes the pill a little easier to swallow.

The agent (who appears to be a tw@t) managed to turn Brook's head by arranging for Bournemouth to part with 12 million quid?

How does that work then?

Actually he was superb in the play off semi at Forest.
No worse than any fucker in the final.

Indeed. And thinking back there was a large number (in fact it might have been most on BU at the time) that thought he’d earned the right to play based on his performance in the semi-finals and McCall’s lack of game time going into it. It was only after the event that the majority started saying it was all Warnock’s fault and McCall should have started. The team selection was never the issue that day – collectively they all completely froze.

Warnocks fault. Yep. Works for me.

Twisting my words, and applying them to a funny photograph, very good.

My words apply to Wilders interview, where he has refused to comment until the news is officially released.

Wilder is either a man of principle or not, what do you think?

He’s just sensible. That’s all. Why discuss what’s happened when it hasn’t actually happened?

He’s also pissed off and not confident he’ll see much of that money.

Sorry to repeat myself, but the club strategy is to survive on players sales. That’s the “business model”. It’s sensible too if both your owners won’t speculate to accumulate, which is where we are at.

I repeat myself again, what a fuckin day it is when a club like Bournemouth can take our best young players off us! I never thought I’d live to see such a day!

And some of our fans don’t want us to go to the Prem yet! Prefer to consolidate!

This time next season the manager goes if he isn’t backed. That’s the reality for all you guys who don’t want us to go to the Prem.

I’m not ITK but I was the first to post the thread about Brooks changing his agent and that being a sign he was off.

No satisfaction in that whatsoever, except to say it was obvious!

Name a guy who doesn't want us to go to the Prem?

All I'm saying is that I read Wilder will walk if McCabe sells players without his consent. I also read that he is following the party line under orders from McCabe.

And now you state he is pissed off, fact!!

None of us actually know, do we?

Can't really be upset with Bournemouth they have a billionaire owner spending cash we have 2 millionaire owners at odds with one another.

!

Eh?

Many, if not the majority of posters, were very happy last season if we’d “consolidated” - some would have accepted 4th from bottom.

Most Blades fans I’ve spoken to have expressed the same view. “Not ready yet, let’s consolidate then push on”. With what? To where?

I’ve posted many times on the same topic: we absolutely must get to the Prem at the first possible opportunity. Tha financial gap widens every season.

I’d happily see the team get promoted to the Prem whilst “not ready”. Much as it would pain me, I’d take losing 10-0 every week and getting relegated after one season, just to get that money, because that is a major game changer.

Do you think Brooks would be leaving us for Bournemouth if we’d got promoted last Season?

I sincerely hope Wilder’s pissed off because his bosses are selling his best young players from under him. Why wouldn’t he be pissed off? Did you listen to the interview? Did you not get that impression?

Yes, quite probably. If we’d got promoted I would suspect/expect Bournemouth to have offered DB better wages. Fulham lost Fredericks to West Ham. Bournemouth are an established, progressive prem side, it’s not like he’s gone and joined Huddersfield.

Just for the record, Marin Rankine is not my agent, despite my avatar.

Was lucky enough to win a competition to get presented with the new away shirt on the pitch with a player - i was unlucky enough for it to be Rankine...
Shook hands with him and he whipped 2 of your fingers.

So is it the same agent company as Wilder's? Be interesting to know......

Agents are the leeches of the modern game. Unfortunately we are where we are and Premiership money talks. Would anyone of us refuse it ? However, sometimes it can work in our favour; Jordan Slew £1 million !

We had a equal, if not better squad than Cardiff.
I agree but they had the Neil factor. We had it when we got automatic promotion with star players like Neil Shipperly. I think that's the wrong spelling of his surname but I'm sure you get my drift ! When NW is excited & looking forward there is a definite Neil factor in results. When he's ultra peed off it doesn't have the same effect..

It doesn't work like it used to. Big clubs were clubs with a big modern stadium with big attendances & in the top League / Prem. Small clubs had small grounds & a small fan base so they were in the bottom leagues. That was the natural order of which club was where. Now it's who buys the most expensive talented finished articles who can turn it on in every game they play , not just now & again for 30 minutes in some games. There's a world of difference. It's sad really but that's the modern game.
