Wilder Interview

Bolton was a shite performance, if he thinks that was in anyway half decent then he is clearly deluded.

They had 10 fucking men in the end and we still barely created any chances against a bang average Bolton team!

That is what worries me; this ok performance has suddenly been put on a pedestal. Good for 20 and then very, very ordinary for 75 minutes and barely created a chance. If someone had said we would have got worse in the two games that followed I would have been shocked and not think it is possible.

Bet that if Wilder had taken the Charlton job they'd be right up there at the top of the divvy

I'm so glad it was a great interview.

How many do you think we get. The thread is about the interview not the game. What did you want him to do? Come out and paper over it. Talk shite, give it the adkins. Obviously this interview doesn't make the result alright. Only a fucking idiot would think that but in the context of what happened in the game it was the right interview to give.

Or should he have come out and gone " you know what the fucking problem with this club is Mccabe, shit players, not enough investment. Only the real fans on S24su know how to run a football club. Fucking dying this club. Don't bother supporting it. George Long is a cunt, I'm a long ball cunt, Sharp and Clarke can't play together. We don't know what we're fucking doing. For christ sakes we've played 3 league games and one cup game I should have it all perfect, we should be in the fuckin Prem by now. You know who else is a cunt that turkish guy, Coutts, in fact anyone who has anything to do with this club on any level, including the fans, is a fucking cunt!

What difference did his big bollox interviews make after Bolton, Crewe and Rochdale? Fuck all it seems.

Save the big talk for the players and do your management on the pitch, it's what you paid to do.

Sink or swim, for fucks sake. For all the talk of giving him time, he's the one being melodramatic.

Let's this is all forgotten by Christmas.

I agree his post match interviews and words are at the moment having no impact. We are getting worse match by match.

If we see a further poor performance what does he do then? Come out and slate them again.

I remember Warnock used to defend his team a lot publically but you only had to see the fly on the wall DVD to see him rip into the side if they deserved it.

Wilder's rants may be honest and right but not sure what the players will think of him now? He has really let them have it early publically which could be dangerous. A few more defeats and he has nowhere to go in terms of what he has said. He will have to make wholesale changes to players he has just signed.

I prefer to judge a manager by his actions, not words. Wilder has picked the same team and used the same tactics (unchanged through each match). This says "I believe in these players and tactics" The only room for improvement (the biggest room in the house) is then by way of the team beginning to gel better. Unfortunately, the problems run deeper than that. And by bigging players up pre-season (Sharp, Brayford), it just makes them more difficult to drop when they're obviously out of form. Make the changes needed and change tactics during the match when they are not working. That doesn't mean just using Scougall and Chapman as subs.
