Let’s get behind him and the team for what needs doing. The distant past won’t have a bearing on the play offs and the last few weeks need to be put behind us.

Yes , for the immediate task ahead , I have no alternative but to shelve all my recriminations , doubts & ultimate conclusions about Wilder.
And try to swallow his BS & BS selections & tactics.
But wherever we are at the end of May , I think that neither the club , nor he , will benefit from continuing in their present relationship.
Whether that's solved by his departure or by him genuinely accepting a different role , can be debated.
My own view , fwiw , is that his ego , persona & intense love for the club would impact negatively on the performance of a new younger manager.

Of course it would be great to win something, and I agree it is frustrating to see rotated teams for winnable cup games.

This season I actually will defend Wilder on resting players for the Cardiff FA Cup game - we were struggling to field a full squad at the time and it had to be done really.

I agree he effectively threw the League Cup tie against Barnsley which annoyed me because they are absolute pony.

Where I disagree is I don’t think we’ve been crap in cups at all - several semis and quarters for a club in our league position I would argue is hugely overachieving - name me another team at ‘our level’ that has done better than us in that regard in the last 30 years

Obviously forgetting the 20 odd years we never got beyond round 4 in the FA Cup.

It doesnt help in how old one is. Growing up in the 60's and 70's we had teams like Stoke, Norwich, Ipswich, Southampton winning cups but not Sheffield United. So my memory and emotion is possibly rawer than your good self.
