Mr Henry lined up for the job ???No that wasn’t my point and I apologise if that’s how it’s come across. I’m not against the appointment of a BAME manager in principle if it were to be done for the right reasons I.e he’s the best candidate for the job. However as to my mind there isn’t a standout BAME managerial candidate at this time as in my opinion the game has an issue with encouraging BAME former players into coaching roles then any appointment would be for other than footballing reasons. Darren Moore is probably the most prominent BAME manager to my mind. If I have caused any offence I apologise as again that wasn’t my intent.

I hope not he’s failed at a club who whilst not PSG are one of the best clubs in an uncompetitive ligue 1 and then not pulled up any trees in a really poor Canadian league. If we truly are going for a BAME candidate then out of all possible candidates I’d go Liam rosenior. He’s cut he teeth in Swansea’s academy system so you assume he’s committed to play football on the floor and has learned from potter and cooper and is probably due a shot at the senior level. I categorically do not want an unproven or failed “name” like Henry and Campbell.Mr Henry lined up for the job ???

You'd have to tell him who we are and where Sheffield is first. And then wait for him to stop laughing.Mr Henry lined up for the job ???

I would
If only! One chapter ends, a new one begins.
I'm saddened by Wilder's reign ending like everyone. HOWEVER its now to see how much ambition the board has to take us to an even higher level which if they can walk the walk as well as they talk the talk could end up being quite exciting (with maybe even a European twist)

We’ll find out soon enoughWonder what Phipps thinks of all this
For all the idiots who think CW leaving is good for SUFC, don't forget, we can't afford the wages for the top footballers or THE TOP MANAGERS.
We had the perfect man for our club.
RIP The Blades
You've only to look on FB and these pages to see the idiots amongst us.Does anyone think it's good?
Some people might think it's time, but I don't think anyone is really on board with it.

Absolutely spot on.I would of course have preferred CW to stay and think if the majority of the squad had stayed in tact next year, supplemented by a couple of signings and a few loans, they would have been well placed to challenge. However, the cracks have been evident for quite some time. I was never a fan of how CW used the stock value to get his way with the Board previously including securing several pay increases - the flirtation with Sunderland left a particularly bitter taste. Similarly, I don't like how he attempted to publicly strongarm the Board into agreeing to what he wants for next season. Yes, he has done a magnificent job during his tenure but from the Board's perspective, you can't allow an employee to dictate terms that way, no matter how important they are.
The differences in opinion between the Board and CW in how the club, particularly recruitment, will operate moving forward appeared to be untenable so perhaps now is the right time for a split. There is essentially nothing to play for this season (barring a miracle in the cup v Chelsea) so it gives the club time to sort a DoF (is that is indeed the route they intend to go down) and a head coach and of course put in place plans for the squad.
All these people saying they're done with the club and publicly abusing the owner and Board need to grow up and consider their actions. No person is bigger than the club and they are the current custodians of it. Personally, I don't support the owners, the Board, or CW, I always have been and always will be a supporter of the club no matter how they're well or badly they're doing.
