Oh, right, so they're not behaving like pigs then, they're just insane. Good to know. 🙄

If anyone thinks a repeat of the utter fiasco that culminated in that shocking League table I've posted above, is "best for United", they genuinely are insane.

And I'm the one that needs to give my head a wobble...

So we’re pigs for not agreeing with you?

There was me thinking it was ok to have a difference of opinion without being called a pig.

🤷

He got to 92 with his squad picks, not the bunch of no hopers we signed last summer. Can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, not can you polish turds, as some like to think.
Souza, Hamer, Anel were pretty much the spine of that team and weren't signed by Wilder. Seriki, Brooks, Peck, Arblaster are obviously academy products. Part of a managers job is to get the best out of players he inherited

Admittedly I haven't been a regular this season but I'm trying to remember the last time I saw a United team as 'flat' and lifeless as that first half performance. Even when we were getting regularly tonked last time we were in the prem, we showed more fight and spirit. Two possible options for me: either we give Wilder a substantial wedge to rebuild with (unlikely) or we change the manager.
Last time i saw a United team that flat and lifeless was Wednesday night!

There's a litmus test for me with Wilder.

If he extends or renews Shackleton's contract this summer, then he's lost the plot and has to go.

Shackleton is the epitomy of Wilders reign. A project. A player with an injury record, whose continued that here. When he has played, it's hard to see what he's good at. Too small, not quick enough, not strong enough and physically weak. Wilder keeps signing them, as "Projects".

We can't afford his vanity projects

Let's see what he does with Shackleton - it'll tell us a lot about CW and his intentions

Bad news I'm afraid - Shackleton has another year on his contract.

His interview today is everything that I don’t like about Wilder.

“The bit in the middle was good”
“Poor in both boxes”
“Nothing in the game tactically”
“We went til the end”
“The shirt feels heavy at the moment”

It’s clear the board don’t want him cause they sacked him and tried to get the dinasour DNA out of the club and make us a modern outfit fit for purpose.

So why would they give him until Christmas to f*ck up another season and prove he is a dinasour?

Get rid after last game ffs. If this was happening we’d know by now as feelers would be out and Biggsy would have had it on his patreon site by now. 😉

On that basis we are stuck with Wider FOREVER? If that were the case we would still have Bassett or Warnock in charge.

He past his sell by date several times. The ONLY thing the owners got wrong was hiring the wrong man into the job. The modernisation, looking at recruitment etc was spot on but they fluffed it up with Selles and then panicked by rehiring the very problem they had dealt with.

Out done by Hecky twice. When their second went in and the cameras went to the dug outs, Wilder n Knilly were waving and pointing the arms/fingers.
Hecky stood, the arms folded with a smirk on his face.
Don’t blame him with the guy that stabbed him in the back stood 20m away eating humble pie

I've been in the camp that says it could be worse but I really struggle to see how this is going to get better from here. I've said give him until November but honestly, how have we got this bad from the improved performances we were seeing. My problem (and the main reason for being in the keep Wilder camp) is that I don't trust COH to get it right. This could be the start of one awful journey for us but despite that I'm moving towards thank you for the memories Chris but please do the right thing, let's all move on and if you really love the club don't drain of the money we need to have some chance of a turnaround next season with silly compo demands. I know the anti Wilder brigade will come back with the usual trashing but can we please do it in a way that brings fans together and have us looking forward with some hope to next season.
That’s the contradiction isn’t it ? Get rid and take a huge gamble with a new manager or keep Wilder and be more or less guaranteed Championship football for the following season but be bored to death

Why do the Wilder-ites always point to the absolute worst case scenarios/examples as a reason not to change? And never have an actual suggestion for what happens when Wilder does eventually leave, whatever that reason might be. They must realise at some point that is going to happen? It just seems to be, let's hope Wilder can rekindle something from several years ago and kick that can down the road a bit longer.
Some of the pigs' Deludamol must be leaking into the Wilderites' drinking-water with disastrous consequences.

And due an oceanic phenomenon akin to a reversal of the gulfstream , a small but sufficient quantity has reached Cleveland , Ohio.

The wobble comment was about your ridiculous “pig like” statement, not the football element. What’s even more laughable is that you yourself have gone down the Pork Talk route and tried to change the narrative away from your nonsense.

The last time the club appointed the completely wrong manager.

Can't you see the huge difference in the two things??
Do you honestly believe no there manage in the world can do a better job for us than CW?

Also, pack it in with the "genuinely insane" stuff. Ridiculous.

I'll never understand why they gave him such a long contract - yet more proof of the stupidity of our owners - gathering up millstones to hang round their own neck like Chong & McGuiness.
Or do they rely on Director Bettis for this kind of thing ?
Either way , they're like children destroying their own toy

I'd snatch you hand off to finish 21st next season. Bamford, Brooks, Seriki, Peck, Arblaster, McCallum and maybe O'Hare are the only players I wouldn't want to lose the rest can go, sooner the better.
Wilder and his staff should be shown the door on Monday morning, disgraceful performances week after week, lose a couple of our better players and replace them with average Joe's and we will be sleepwalking to League One. Not to mention the amount of people who say they will not renew their ST especially if Wilder remains manager.
Whats arblaster done since his injury not half the player he was very few come back from that injury 100%

That's not the definition of insanity, it's just a stupid saying people keep repeating.

There are countless examples of things in life which will yield different results by doing the exact same thing.

I honestly think most of them are hoping he survives until Billy is ready to takeover.
I think they have it in their heads that the club cannot survive unless their is a Bladey Bladey connection and they "Get the Club"
I have said loads of times before alot of our fans would love it if we renamed ourselves Royston Vasey United, "We'll have no outsiders here".

When he squirms off down the tunnel at the end of today's game he should keep walking straight out the back door and never come back.
I know a lot of Blades who despise Wilder on this forum post this sort of stuff regularly. Also, understand the feeling that leads to the post and the emotion that we all feel. It's also clear that the same bunch likes these posts each time, which again I get, as it probably makes them feel better. If you see my posts, I am at the point where I recognise we need a change, but lack confidence in COH getting it right, and that's my problem. Getting rid of Wilder makes some feel better for a short while, "a dopamine thing after years of frustration," but if, as feels likely, we don't make the right appointment, then we are on a downward spiral. I also recognise that those massive anti-Wilders will see that as a price worth paying, and I'm almost at the point where I recognise we need to accept the pain now to refocus for the future, but, and here's my long-winded point, this kind of post is just fueling the division between fans. I feel that Wilder is on the way out, maybe now, maybe next season, but it feels inevitable, so maybe it's time to try in our posts to bring fans together, so when this happens, we can have a joint view on next steps and get behind future management. Tough to take when you want to flaunt a victory, I know, but what is better for our club?

They count - it's just not a great time to bring good players in - tends to be a bit rubbish.
Sorry, just woken up on a Sunday morning, so a bit slow and realise now it was a poor attempt at a dig. You don't need to do that, I'm pretty sure you are winning the argument!
