Wilder - Get Rid Now, or After Last Game

He isn’t getting sacked and will get 10 games next season. Pissing in the wind if you think otherwise.
I don’t think anyone is expecting him to get sacked this summer. But the debate is about whether or not he should be. Nobody’s right or wrong on that, it’s just opinions, and it gives people on both sides of the argument an opportunity to vent.

Agree. Likely corse of events. But I don’t understand why they will give him what little budget there is to waste on his type of players then sack him before Christmas and leave his players for someone else.

If they did it now and gave new guy and funds there are to buy his squad it would be the right thing to do. They did it before but screwed up by hiring Selles.

Admittedly I haven't been a regular this season but I'm trying to remember the last time I saw a United team as 'flat' and lifeless as that first half performance. Even when we were getting regularly tonked last time we were in the prem, we showed more fight and spirit. Two possible options for me: either we give Wilder a substantial wedge to rebuild with (unlikely) or we change the manager.
I’ll tell you when, Micky Adam’s 10/11 team. Luckily this season the championship has been so weak there’s half a dozen teams beneath us.

Genuine question.

Are the people that still think he’s the right man for the job?
A: brainwashed
B: living in 2018 to 2020
C: ?????

Is 'C' the realists who see that we have no real money to spend for next season?

In dreamland we could appoint a DoF (foreign obviously) and a big name manager.

Then tell them we've spent all the parachute payments and signed a pile of shit players on long contracts and high wages, so we have to wheel deal and sign freebies.

Ahh right, so we’ll let a shell of a manager use what pittance we have to sign absolute shit like Phillips instead, then let him set them up with as much tactical nous as a wet flannel. Fantastic idea.

Surely just a manager with some current ability would help?

Why does it have to be the extreme opposite?

Pretty sure every manager we look at will be aware of our financial situation and players.

Ridiculous.

Look at the squad - the poor signings made in the summer.
With no parachute's next year there's only one man I'd want pulling rabbits out of a hat and he's sat in the dugout.

Agree with Slim Man - until the infrastructure of the club is set up to survive without Wilder, then in my opinion its always going to end in tears without him (and yes Hecky a great job but he was essentially an extension of Wilder)

You wear Wilder Pyjamas don't you Tom 🤔 .

Don’t take it out on me.

During my 55 years of watching Dem Blades I've been to Old Trafford when we were top of the 1st Division, and watched them in the Fourth division.

Could this season have been better - yes.

Could this season have been far worse - yes.

Will next season be better - I hope so.

I don't hold anyone culpable though last summer was a complete shambles.

Well if Hecky is an extension of Wilder the appendage has learnt well. His team were sharper, more organised and seemed to snuff out United quite easily. United looked laboured and lacking in ideas. I presume our players are better than PNE’s are, so what’s the ingredient that creates a better end product ? A fairer result might have been 4-4 as they missed two sitters and United missed a bucket load

During the match Hecky and McAll seemed actively involved whilst Knill just leaned on the dugout and Wilder just kept holding his hands wide in apparent bewilderment at what was unfolding in front of him

We don’t need a big name manager. Hecky, Eustace and Neil are all Brexit managers that have achieved more spending a fraction of what we have.

I’ve done longer but well done. But maybe instead of chipping at people who aren’t currently happy with the performances - remember a similar capitulation last year, snatching a play off place rather than automatic - due to similar managerial decisions, and behaviour actually, what do you think of Wilders decision to wait until the 93rd minute to put Cannon on, when we were chasing the point and were on top. 21 minutes after we pulled it back to 3-2.

Are you offering to 'invest' millions into the club so we can try something different?

How much did COH loose/waste last summer, can they afford to repeat this?

My bedsheets remain dry, win, lose or draw, so I don't need pyjamas.

“Snuff out” What we are seeing with alarming regularity with, even if you take into account vastly underperforming players, no apparent attempts to deal with it.
