Wilder fighting with Plymouth players in tunnel

None of the teams that go up will survive. They will just try to avoid "records".
Absolutely. To finish 4th bottom this season will require around 40 points minimum I reckon. We've failed to get a single point from Leeds or Burnley so far this season and l would expect them to invest at least as much as we do. I really do fear now that next year would be horrendous for any team getting promoted.

We can't compete with teams towards the bottom of the PL, nevermind the top. West Ham fans are distraught tonight because they drew with Southampton, who have reached the magical number of 11.

The issue is just the depth of squads and the quality. A promoted team might have 4 or 5 individuals good enough to play in the PL, if they're lucky. Every other team has a whole team, including subs who cost tens of millions. Even if you hold out for say 60 minutes, you bring on players who were with you in the Championship, they bring on internationals.

Not to mention the additional time added on and unconscious bias towards established teams and players. Look at the "if you know Oli McBernie and Sheffield United" and "the Sheffield defender tried to foul Steven" quotes from referees.

Nothing we can do about it and would always want to be promoted but I can't see this getting any better. It won't be long before a breakaway is suggested or maybe a smaller league with 1 up 1 down. I don't think a no promotion or relegation is on the cards yet, but might be if can a much smaller PL or even a European league, which I would happily support. Get rid of a lot clubs who think they're too good for English football.

Stop fucking whining. If you're that upset about every little thing that happens then seriously, why fucking bother? On and fucking on, moan after fucking moan, it really can't be good for your mental health.
I'm quite a chilled out person really.
And to put your mind at rest my mental health is fine, not that it's got anything to do with you anyway.

I would be more concerned about yourself because that was alot of use of the word f@#king in such a short reply.
Oh and just to make it clear I'm not in the slightest bit concerned about you.

I've only just seen the TV footage of the fighting (or jostling) in the tunnel and can see where the title of this thread comes from - I didn't understand that on the day.
The TV pictures didn't tell the whole story and I hope they go back to what was happening on the pitch prior to the tunnel footage and I stand by my version of events:
I've waded through the whole thread and not one person has described what happened in the lead up to this incident. I was at the game and don't know what tv showed.
I didn't rush to leave the ground and watched United players and staff in a huddle whilst the Plymouth players went round applauding their fans. As the United huddle broke up there was some hand shaking between United and Plymouth players. Anel even had his arms round a Plymouth player and all seemed amicable. I then saw the Plymouth no15 shouting at ( I think Clark) and the No15 then approached Clark with Plymouth players trying to hold No15 back with United players doing likewise with Clark.
The ref had left the field by the time this was happening.
The players all were approaching the tunnel with No15 and Clark being held back. This is when CW became involved- the No15 was being restrained as CW turned and looked at them. The 2 Plymouth players had some verbal from CW and it appeared that the No15 was being held back by the other Plymouth player.
They then disappeared into the tunnel. I have no idea what happened then and I don't know whether tv showed anything.
CW shouldn't have got himself involved but this has been blown up out of all proportion- but no doubt there will be another fine on the way- and rightly so.
Obviously TV did catch events in the tunnel - but what happened before gives it some context.

I heart Anton Ferdinand on Radio 5 this morning, saying that Pro footballers should set a good example to kids. Interesting and I think he was dead right!
