Those across the city can't laugh at anybody. Least of all us. We are far ahead of them in every way you want to measure it. Your comment is "laughable."
We've laughed at them all season (for good reason) their seasons pretty much over anyway and alot of us have boasted about our position over theirs.

In the space of a week or two we've realistically blown our chances of the title, were cursed in the play offs and to top all that off the manager everyone else can't stand is now scrapping with players for losing. Honestly, if I was them, I'd be pissing myself at us right now.

You'd be pissing yourself for losing both derbies, being 29 points adrift of us, producing no young players, having a dilapidated, dangerous stadium, no money and being led by an incompetent buffoon in charge. If it's better being a Wednesdayite there's nowt stopping you.

And all of it is mostly on Wilder himself.

After his narcissistic monologue following the derby, then yeah, I think they could reasonably be laughing

Well they are a thick deluded bunch, so by nature if you were a pig you would be too, therefore I'm sure they will be laughing at us, given their lack of self-awareness...I pity them.

They clearly don't give a shit about pretty much everything you've mentioned. In fact they strut around as though it's the greatest place in the world. Watching us fail when they have literally piss all to play for is a huge if not the only highlight of their season.

Comparing us and pigs is not what we should judge us on - yes it’s great to be above them but we will start next season same points and same division

I agree. I just think its rather stupid to laugh at someone's failings when they are better than you.

Take a look at him. A bloke of almost 60, clearly less than sober, standing on a pub table singing? Fantastic look, not remotely embarrassing.
I wouldn't disagree but it's a massive jump from there to being called out as a heavy drinker without any evidence to support it.

If I remember somewhat correctly alot of people (on here at least) were apprehensive with his reappointment and I think given the chance most fans would have said no to him but we can't argue he's done quite well with us. He deserves the recognition but similarly the ground out wins all season and comments of "united really aren't that good" also deserve recognition and I think Wilder just is not our guy anymore, he should be talking to the club as far as I'm concerned about who his replacement should be because even if he somehow turns this around (it's farfetched but stranger things have happened in this game) and we secure autos somehow OR we break the curse and win the playoffs. He's nowhere near capable of managing a side in the PL

Given the shit-show of the takeover and the Prince’s final years I think he was 💯 the right person to bring in at that time and did a great job in trying circumstances.

I’d still be fine with him starting next season if we’re in the Championship but could understand why the owners and some fans would want to start anew.

UTB.

After the hubris Wilder showed following both derbies I don’t begrudge them a good laugh at him.
I'd be embarrassed laughing at someone who's beaten me twice and will finish way ahead . They really don't have anything to laugh at. Their club is in a pathetic state.

I’m just so pissed off we gave him a new contract!

The new contract didn’t make any sense from the club perspective, it was only beneficial to Wilder and no one else.
I'm guessing there were all kind of clauses in it relating to performance targets and notice period. If the Americans want to get rid they will do.

For me he's got a lot of leeway based on the fact that in July we would never have dreamt of having the season we have had. I didn't want him back but I can't argue with the job he's done and it's only this 8 day period that has caused all the upset. I don't remember much slagging off after the Pig and Coventry games!

Let's all keep calm and wait and see what the play offs bring. I'm sure the owners will know what they want to do next season so let's get behind the boys and leave any recriminations to the end of the season

I don’t think they’ll feel remotely embarrassed about laughing at him & I can understand why they will. I’ve already had texts from Piggy mates laughing at him. I’ve been laughing at Man Utd all season & they’re much better than us. Are you trying to tell me I shouldn’t have been doing that?

I can understand your pleasure in someone's demise, yes. If however it's done in a condescending way, as it most certainly will be, by Wednesdayites, then I don't think that's right. I'd be embarrassed to ridicule a Man United fan for example. They could destroy you with facts on how much better they are. Just like we can with Wednesday.

Maybe your interpretation of a heavy drinker differs to mine. Just another way to stick the boot in after 3 disappointing results and performances.
Maybe it does. I will add at this point that I am an alcoholic with a few years of recovery under my belt and spend time working with other problem drinkers. His drinking certainly doesn’t seem healthy to me from what I’ve seen & heard, although I might be wrong. You’ll note that I have not referred to him being an alcoholic at any point because I have no idea whether that’s the case.

But you’re right, there are plenty of other, more justifiable, reasons to stick the boot in. We aren’t exactly short of them.

May God grant you serenity. Good luck in your recovery.

. Must have concerned them to see his boozy antics online for all the world to see who they were backing.
said at the time whilst most were lapping it up
He’s supposed to be a manager aspiring to be in the best league in the world, not a Sunday league manager who’s just pipped their cross road local to the title, getting leathered and takin the piss

Cringey at best, unprofessional and disrespectful at worse

Gets away with it when going is good, but has people lining up to have a go when wheels fall off

It is probably doing us a favour as this team in the Prem could break the low points record. It could also seal CWs fate as manager, hence he can’t blow millions on more shite Cannon type investments……
All in all a weak end to a season where we have generally been crap, but got lucky results, in a low quality league.
