Wilder at Hearts v Rangers

I would like to suggest Wilder is watching Shankland and Devlin. And why these would fit Wilder’s system.

Shankland suits the front two he links play, presses intelligently, and finishes chances without needing volume. He’s not just a scorer, he keeps attacks flowing in a structured system.

Devlin is pure Wilder midfield. He’s relentless, positionally disciplined, and obsessed with second balls. He protects the shape, wins it back, and keeps everything ticking.

Devlin a Peck replacement? Never seen him play no idea how good he is but your description has sold him to me!

Shankland and Devlin were both injured earlier this season which coincided with Hearts form having a stutter but it's picked up since they came back. Shankland is 30 but a very accomplished player.

Devlin has recently returned from an ankle injury.
But as you have said. Peck replacement? Yes. Devlin for me reads danger early, snaps into duels, and hoovers up second balls. Positionally spot on, rarely dragged out of shape. He’s made for a Wilder midfield.

Both very good players, but wait for some dick to come on here with the lazy, tired old bullshit about it being a farmer’s league.

Tavernier culpable for both goals. Hardly strengthening our defence is he? Let’s hope it’s not him.

Of course he could just be having a jolly and taking in a game now our season is over
