No he isn’t. He has some good mates who are Hearts who often came down and visited our games over the years so I’d guess he’s had a bank holiday weekend in Edinburgh with his mates and took in the game.

Shankland suits the front two he links play, presses intelligently, and finishes chances without needing volume. He’s not just a scorer, he keeps attacks flowing in a structured system.

Devlin is pure Wilder midfield. He’s relentless, positionally disciplined, and obsessed with second balls. He protects the shape, wins it back, and keeps everything ticking.

Devlin has recently returned from an ankle injury.
But as you have said. Peck replacement? Yes. Devlin for me reads danger early, snaps into duels, and hoovers up second balls. Positionally spot on, rarely dragged out of shape. He’s made for a Wilder midfield.
