Not all pigs, but there are a few on here, what bit don’t you understand?Everyone who disagrees with me and my friends must be a pig
What’s it like being that close-minded?

I wouldn't want to turn this thread into something about a completely different team in another country but.....Thats a tremendous story for them. I know Sheffield United, it wouldnt have happened for us. Can I ask, what had the team done the previous season? Had they been close to promotion, mid-table, relegation battle? I only ask if that you cannot take a team that finished on 92 points, and in 5 games turn it into a laughing stock. And I know, the squad was different and he was trying to play a new attacking style - but we had less than 10 shots on target in 5 games, scoring 1 goal and conceding a hat-full. You as a manager are on a hiding to nothing if those are your first results when coming in after a 90+ season.
I am no Wilder apologist by the way. I would have fully backed another manager to come in. Wilder makes daft decisions, thinks its about him and has signed some dross but he has got us results*
*be them at the cost of playing potentially pretty attractive football.
Wow, that is spookyI wouldn't want to turn this thread into something about a completely different team in another country but.....
1) They'd been in a promotion position going into the last 6 weeks then fecked it up, missing out even on the playoffs, and sacked the manager
2) Appointed a guy who had, effectively, got his team relegated from the same division the very same season (and had himself been sacked).
There were some spooky parallels.
I don't think Selles would have turned it round either, but he didn't get the opportunity. Pure boardroom cowardice.
WowIf only someone could put this to music.
I'm sure it would be a hit!
Wilder could do a lot to win back his sceptics if he started naming match day squads without Tom Cannon in them.
The rebuild ??? since beating Coventry our league form ( without Selles stats) has been bottom 6. Yet if we analyse performances under Wilder last season pre and post Coventry then there is not a lot of difference in performance. The margins have just swung the other way, its was bound to happen at some point.Wilder is currently attempting to oversee a rebuild (which is needed to rectify a disastrous car crash of a start to a season) release a number of sub standard players who he didn't sign and certainly doesn't want.
Whilst also trying to get results and save the club from relegation.
He also did exactly this last season and somehow managed to achieve 92 points which was remarkable.
All of this is necessary because the club continues down the same path where it has sold off every quality player who is a saleable asset for donkeys years.
Having said that, you’d still be mentioning Tom Cannon in shoutbox every day……
