It's a mystery to Bert (Pt 232) why people booed and hurled abuse at the most exciting and talented player on the pitch, even if he was playing for the opposition.
Just watch him and hope he has a bad day rather than abuse him.

Funny how memories operate. My recollection was of seeing a shadow of a formerly great player. I thought he was insignificant that day.

Seems like quite a few missed the goal given it was very early into the second half but it seems they had a good time down at the Lane, not sure what’s not to like?

Oh nothing. Unless you're sat near them, would have to get up to let them re-take their seats and all because they can't go 15 minutes without stuffing their faces.

October 1976 Blades 1 (Woodward) Fulham 1 (Mitchell). Moore, Marsh and Best played. Johnstone's last home game for us.

October 1977 Blades 2 (Hamilton, Woodward) Fulham 1 (Gale). Moore had retired in summer 1977, Marsh was on loan from Tampa Bay Rowdies for the 1976-77 season only. Best did play.
