Wilder and missing players.

Seems pretty unfair to be judging Chris right now imo, with so many first choice players out. He can only play the hand he's dealt after all. And no one would want to play a pair of deuces if they had a choice.
I was pretty pissed off a couple of weeks back, but I don't believe now is the time for him to leave, given the injury situation.
Atm it's still "Wilder in" for me.
I’m judging him on 22 defeats in 28 games, most of which were played with just one of our key defenders missing.

Had a reality check yesterday whilst discussing the DoF debacle....outcome being that Chris is vital to everything and must stay....however, we are stuck with some utter rubbish on big bucks, not sure how he handles that as there is NO chance of moving them on.

southampton have butchered us twice and could easily have won both games 5 - 0 and their a mid table premier team but every team has far more skill and pace than us know injuries have hurt us but we just cant compete at this level we havent got the quality of players to stay up

Really?
Well he managed us to 9th last season in the Premier League with the lowest budget. Not bad for simeone who doesn't know what he's doing!

This season he's not only had to contend with the lowest budget, but also Covid rules, no fans, an injury list as long as your arm, loss of a fantastic keeper due to inability to pay his going rate, contract issues with Lundstram due to not being able to pay what he thinks he's worth, loss of form from several key players... Fleck, Norwood, Stevens, Moose, and young strikers not yet performing.

I still think he should get another season. The only reason we can even dream about funding another tilt at the prem is because of Wilder's exceptional work performance over 4 seasons generating Prem funds and parachute payments we couldn't dream of when he arrived.

Last time we were in the champ, Princey boy hardly funded a tilt at the prem did he? He has no money. Wilder did it all anyway, in spite of basically crap funding. Our Champ budget was bottom third. Let's see what Wilder can do in the Championship with a bit more cash to work with. Who could conceivably be better for us next season?

I will say this it’s much harder for this team to perform at its best when it has key players missing. That’s the defence I have for Chris right now.

Maybe HRH has said, What with buying the club,- a much bigger wage bill up here,- loss of earnings with this Covis thingy,- big money signings not pulling their weight and now McCabe playing silly beggar's again, I think it would pay me to drop back down for a season, till I can get me money sorted. But for crying out loud don't make it look too obvious.
If so I'm afraid Mr Wilder, you have failed miserably ..........

I'm not excusing this seasons car crash but I part blame the prince for authorising the poor transfer policy...I think Chris needed guiding rather than being allowed to make a series of rash decisions that could affect the long term future of the club.
