Chris Wilder has picked up 187 points since the start of last season (according to The Times). So with 4 left to play he could get to 199 points. Pretty remarkable (especially considering the start to our season)!

Can anyone think of any other manager who can currently match this, or even come close? I would hazard a guess that he's out there on his own?

Chris Hughton was my first guess, but he's a few short, at 175 points. Anyone else?

Do you ever envy a banana for being bigger than your manhood?

I appear to be obsessed with stats this season and for this reason I looked at the form guide minus the first four matches . We were 20 points better than the nearest side ( Bolton ) during the period after the first 4 games were played .

20 fucking points

Well personally I don't find anything clever about 180 plus points over 2 years.
Only last Thursday I accumulated over 200 points in under 5 minutes whilst sinking a pint and eating a bag of cockles. There were 3 treble 20's in that as well.

What about Conte last season at Juventus and this season at Chelsea?

If you're going to add in European teams then Barca got 91 points and 94 points in the 14-15 and 15-16 seasons. This works out at 2.434 points per match, so would be 224 in a 46 match league season.

I guess you could also get some really big points in Scotland if you wanted to look at that.

Even better - and probably untouchable - Barca got 99 points in 2009/10 and 96 in 2010/11. That's 2.57ppg - 118 over a 46 game season (236 over 2). No wonder Pep Guardiola described it as "una puta barbaridad" - "fucking barbaric". They then followed that up with 91 in 2011/12 and 100 in 2012/13 but lost out to Real Madrid in 2011/12.

As an aside, Real Madrid got 188 points in coming second in 2009/10 and 2010/11 - more than Mourinho's Chelsea got winning the Premier League title in 2005/06 and 2006/07

2009/10 Barcelona 99, Real Madrid 96
2010/11 Barcelona 96, Real Madrid 92
2011/12 Real Madrid 100, Barcelona 91
2012/13 Barcelona 100, Real Madrid 85

Celtic this season is an absolute joke: P32 W29 D3 L0 Pts90. They're on track for 107 points from a 38 game season.
