LOANS! How many times does it have to be repeated. United do not have to break the bank to bring a Mitrovic type in. Fulham went from zero to hero last season on the cheap and without bankrupting anyone with one simple manoeuvre. A perfect model for United to follow.

Keep repeating this but Wilders track record at this level is very short lived.
Why would any ambitious Chairmsan take a risk, most tend to go for the tried and tested who’s achieved or a foreign name.
Fortunately for us PL clubs and big clubs in the Championship are not likely to be interested in CW just yet.

Also why is it clear he will get a team promoted with funds?
He had funds last January and was given every target but most of his targets struggled.
Let’s not go over board and wait and see.

Wilder only has to lose 2 or 3 games and according to most on here he’s crap, win a few and he’s the best manager in the league.
The truth lies somewhere in between, he’s doing a great job but it’s very early days.
You are correct in that there's no guarantee that Wilder will get a team promoted from this league, but i'm convinced he will, given backing.

My flakey evidence is what he's done with other clubs before managing us; him and his management team are the golden goose in my opinion. You only have to look at the current civil war going on between our owners to evidence this - they bloody know it and are frantically trying to gain control when a year ago they were both fairly disinterested.

When we were in league one. And before Wilder McScrouge couldn’t wait to get out he’s rolled the dice and spent his money that he wanted to on United.
Basically saying enough is enough. But now he sees his chance to get some of his money back. Not saying he doesn’t want United to prosper , but he wants McCabe inc to prosper first and foremost.
Bye the way I’m not saying the Prince is any difference , but perhaps he deserves a shot.
Completely wrong.

McCabe is desperate to get out but not that desperate that he will let the Prince completely screw him over, and I don't blame him.

Why should he have to if we're not all prepared to do the same is the point I was making.

Simple. Because he owns the club, we don't.

The money he's put into the club is no different to what we put in if you look at in relative terms. My concern is if we do go up, he'll be looking for a dividend before he releases any money into the team. I'm all for that if he repays us 19 years worth of season tickets over the period of his tenure.

They’re re both trying to screw each other, McCabe a stupid cunt what did he expect when he brought him on board, that the Prince was doing it for the love of United. Come on, play with fire and you get burned.

they'd spent nearly 30 million in the past 3 seasons. No wonder Tufty must pull his hair out when he has to haggle with McScrooge and our invisible co owner.

Look where all that 'Investment' has got them.

What a daft comment.
If you don't buy a season ticket, no-one gives a fuck.
If McCabe doesn't stump up the cash (which is incidentally far more than you have put in, even in "relative terms") the club will suffer big time, even if only because it may be taken over by a Milan Mandaric

If McCabe doesn’t have the cash to fund us then why doesn’t he sell us to someone who has??

NoChancer might be looking for a new vanity project club, if he could offload the shambles he has created at the Sty.

Or maybe he has some mates who are similarly clueless loaded.

What's daft is the sympathy people have for McCabe and the £50m or whatever he claims to have put in (most of it was his fucking fault anyway). That probably only leaves him with about £150m to get by on for the rest of his life. Whereas the £15k or whatever I've spent following the Blades in the same period could be put to good use at the moment. That's what "relative" means you duffer, as one of the resident lefties on this forum I thought you would have figured that one out.

Mandaric left the pigs on a stable footing by the way, the first owner for a long time before and certainly since.

"Mandaric, 72, has struck deals with all the club's major creditors and loan note holders, paying just under 8m and wiping out the club's 30m debts."

Everybody's happy then!

Nice try but I'm not biting ;)

What exactly has Gary Rowett done to get the Stoke job then? Or Clement to get the Reading job? There’s very little logic with many owners and when all you hear in the media is how good Wilder is and how well we play then I wouldn’t be surprised if a few owners are hearing the name and thinking ‘wouldn’t mind one of those’.

Fortunately, Jokanovic is out of a job and he’s shown he can get clubs up by playing nice football and Bruce has got that ‘old school seen it, done it’ market covered but championship clubs change managers at least once a season in most cases so his turn is going to come round sooner or later.

If I was him, and I knew I didn’t have the resources to take us forward, I’d go. I wouldn’t want my legacy to be tainted by a shit season.
