I thought Chapman was ace when he finally came on tonight, he really took it to Bury, and with his passion, he looks like a real Blade!!!
Just seems like he has that extra gear that the team need, and fuck me he's nippy!

Mark Duffy probably.

Think he was mainly brought in as a winger. Wilder said he had tried to get him to play more centrally as we don't actually have wingers in this changed formation.

Unlucky cos I've liked what i've seen of him, but I don't think you fit them both in the current 11 unless you drop done or something

Duffy's been great and Scougall's scored 3 in 3 when called upon, so it made sense he got the nod. Things weren't really working for Scoogs in that first half and I would've taken him off for Chapman, though Wilder went with Clarke and I don't have any issue with that.

I'd agree with that. Only reason I can see is experience. Just looks to have a little too much youthful enthusiasm so slightly not on the same tune as the rest of the team. That said I really like to watch him.

I've got to agree, he deserves a start, he looks really promising. I think we should consider a 4-5-1 at Charlton with Chapman and Done playing as winger/strikers with Sharp as the point man and Clarke on the bench if a change is needed.

-------------Moore
EEL Wright O'Connell Lafferty
---------Fleck---Coutts
--Done---Scougall---Chapman
-------------Sharp

I'd have Chapman over Done on Saturday. Especially if Duffy is out, Chapman can really unlock a defence looks a class act.

Maybe because we've no chance of having him long term so CW is trying to build a team that isn't reliant on loanees?
Let's hope we sign EEL then!!

That dosen't make any sense. Clubs sign loanees all the time knowing theres no chance of signing them long term. Signing a quality player for a season then not playing him on those grounds is total madness. We absolutely should play Chapman or any player who can improve us,and he can.

He's got to get a start based on what we've seen of him so far!
I disagree that Wilder isn't playing him cos he's a loanee.
Surely it's what's best for the team, and I believe with him in it, we're going to get more 3 point games than with Done in the way things are panning out at present.

Hey, I agree with you entirely tatters. It did just cross my mind that the kind of run we've been on with our own players might be something CW values above developing other team's players, only using him if things weren't going to plan?

Fair enough, but I think Done needs to be dropped for Chapman. That's the reality IMO. Not given a little rest. Dropped. Done is clutching at straws and looks totally out of place.

Wanted him to come on earlier last night, United showed a lot of patience, as we all did, waiting for 'it' to happen, longer it went on I thought Chapman was the player to have a go at them, something different, the lad has got ability and is prepared to run at defenders and cause havoc, could be a big player for us in the second half of the season.as a winger it is more difficult to fit him into the side with playing three at the back, but players with his ability, in this division need to be playing more, replacement for done?

Made more sense for me that Chapman came on for Scoogs, rather than Clarke, as this sent Sharp out wide left !

Totally agree. We needed someone to beat a couple of players to take them out of the equation rather than try to pass through them. Still didn't do that enough as he's capable of though.

Chapman has a very bright future ahead of him, he's only just turned 19, will be playing high end Championship football bare minimum by the time he is 21 (maybe with us ;))

The composure for his chipped hat trick goal was stunning against Orient

Better than his header against Shrewsbury |-O

we could do with him being able to play in the hole as a Duffy back up / Option, but at 19 is he ready for that as it would come with the kicking him up and down the pitch game after game Duffy as converted well to the roll, but I think Chapman might find it more difficult with the physicality in that roll.

Been saying this for the last 10 games, he could be the difference in our attack, I believe he will turn our 1-0 wins into 3-0 wins I really do.

It's not simply the ability to beat a man that we should focus on, Chapman has that rare talent to see angles or opportunities that other players seem incapable of recognising. Not only is he a goal threat, he can create as well, and given time, as we've done with the likes of Duffy and Fleck, we'd find that Chapman offers far more than we've seen so far.....and given the quality of his contributions so far we could have a real find in our ranks, just the type of player that could lift us when we're up against stubborn opposition. Of course, when we play teams prepared to give as good as they get then Chapman will be in his element as the chances for him to exploit will come far more regularly.

i think he's going to be vital in games where we need some greater invention and threat with running at players.

i agree that to me, Chapman coming on for Scoogs made more sense. BUT, Clarke has shown his value in recent weeks and there will be a part for him. We've options.

Would like to see him involved at Charlton.
Young man who looks to have a great future in front of him.
We could find that his pace opens up the opposing defences.
Concerning that despite the efforts Done has hit a barren patch, although he is a good partner, system wise, to Sharp.
Could be difficult game at Charlton as they hit 5 last night but at least they will not be shutting up shop as Bury did last night, but 3000 plus Blades fans will help..
We just need to keep grinding out results
