Well, I've never heard so much shite. Honesty, I was going to offer you the benefit of your opinion, but how you can say QPR at their best wouldn't hammer us then I don't know where to go from there.

On that logic, Do you think Kidderminster would beat us at out best? So biased, I really can't believe you think that!

Dreadful isn't it? I mean, fancy having an opinion that if we played to our best we would not get hammered by QPR at their best. Outrageous. Off the richter scale for stupidness. Incomprehensible that someone could have such a view, especially after we just er................ hammered them.

I have no idea how Kidderminster play at the moment. I don't watch them. It would not completely surprise me if they beat us or we beat them. I would expect us to win, but doubt that we would 'hammer' them

Like when Swansea beat us 3-0 at Bramall Lane when we were in the prem? its exactly the same really.

Yes, and even if we had been at our best I very much doubt that we would have hammered them. Third division they may have been, but they were actually quite good and capable of giving many better teams than we were at that time a good game.

RIGHT! You're finally getting it. Maybe they wouldn't 'hammer' us (I think they would) but you agree they would beat us... Like I've been saying. Like that's ALL I've been saying, because they're a better side! It's not negative to say QPR are a better team than us, I don't know where you've got it from.

Btw, 'I dont know' was exactly the response I expected, when you know for a fact we would beat Kidderminster at our best. The league system we have is representative of the best to the worst teams in the country, I'm not sure if someone's sat you down an explained this to you before...

Anyways old, my boy, let's call it a day. I'm bored of this arbitrary debate!

That probably wins arrogant, condescending post of the year. Well done.

You have no idea what I "know for a fact". As I said, I think and hope we would probably beat Kidderminster. I do not know it for a fact, and neither do you. And I certainly doubt that we would hammer them.

The league is indeed a ranking structure, but in my view there are sides in particular divisions who would probably hold their own in the division above, just as there are some teams in particular divisions that might struggle if suddenly placed in the division below. Also some sides have difficulty playing against certain teams and certain styles (for want of a better word). It is possible for a lower division side to outplay a side from a higher division (and indeed from two divisions higher) if they adopt the right tactical plan and utilise their strengths.

It happens frequently and putting it down solely to the higher placed side playing badly is in my opinion somewhat insulting to the winning side. Sometimes they come up with a plan that works and neutralises the others side's strengths. Greece did it perfectly in the 2004 European championship.

We have now accounted for 5 premier league sides and 2 Championship sides in the last 12 months. I just do not think it is credible to argue that all those results were down to the higher placed club under performing.

I think it is you who is "getting it". QPR hammer us at our best? Not a chance.

I suggest you read my post properly. That was not my response to your question.

I'd suggest that between mid-table Premier and Championship there is a 5% difference and another 5% between the Championship and League One. If QPR had played to their potential then of course we wouldn't be working out trains to Preston now. Why on earth we cannot just go out and bombard teams in League One from the off is beyond me. When we are positive and go out looking to score we are a completely different team. No doubt against Preston we will be back to our cagey League persona.

It's down to Clough wanting to hang on to the point you are given at the start of a league match.

Not what I'd do but it is no doubt learnt from Daddy and I'll not say Daddy was wrong.

100%, 24 carat common-sense. It won't go down well with the single-cells!
Why do birds suddenly appear, , every time you are near ?
Just like me they long to be
close to you
Ooooooooooooohh oooo-oo-ooh close to you

A very good point, look where Swansea are now and look where we are. What's to say in 5 years we might be in the Cheats League and QPR, Fulham etc. could be in Division 3. At the time Swansea beat us, they were the better team on the day and proved that they were better long term, just the way things evolve sometimes.

As to intimating that I'm a Clapper well get a grip, read my posts, I'm a right moaning fucker but sometimes you have to give credit where it's due, and our performances against Premier League teams have been truly awesome, regardless of how lucky you think we've been.

There are plenty of things to moan and gripe about at our illustrious club, but the cup results really should be cherished.
