Yep, but were the blades! We get confident for pigs and Charlton, but sides near bottom we are pessimistic!

You should always respect the opposition, colchester aren't a bad side, they are at home, enough said.

Agree. but were the side in second. play our game & play well & we should do enough to win.

Cus too many managers thought 5 across midfield with one lone striker was our game

Pity the original tie was called of, they where playing shite at the time. Stil get a win though. Utb

They're in the top half to be fair...

Indeed, we're more than capable of beating them but it's not going to be an easy game!

We're going into a game against a side who are unbeaten in 5, so you have to respect them, especially on their own patch. I think we'll win the game personally but we'll probably have to work very bloody hard to get it.

I'm looking forward to it, should be a good game, they are playing fairly well and chasing play offs, hopefully we are past the blip now!

They have only lost one of their last 6 but in the same respect they have only won 2 of their last 6.

You can make of the stats what you will but they have just beaten Preston and Charlton. So you would then expect them to then go and beat Wycombe but they didn't.

Seem to have a better habit of getting draws which is why they have been steady in mid table really.

It could be a 0-0 or ideally a 0-1 to us.

I suspect it's not that much to do with the opposition, and more to do with that it's our game in hand. Losing this game would be a massive boost to our rivals.

Charlton are the side in first, but it didn't stop Colchester from winning recently at The Valley.

Colchester aren't near the bottom.

We don't do 0-0 draws.

By all accounts, a proper smash and grab. Still, if it's brought on the Charlton wobble I'm not complaining.

People are shitting it against colchester because for weeks we have been x points clear with games in hand, after tomorrow we will be x points clear. End of. In fact Hudds will have a game in hand on us.

We need to take something from the game for that reason. To hammer home the advantage.

I suspect that 4 points from the next 2 games will be a good return (with Weds at Notts County on Saturday), although with us at County next week we could probably do with 6 points...

If we did that every game we'd finish with 138 points.......... we didn't play well against pigs and lost same at Walsall etc etc

last 8 form table shows notts county top
colchester 3rd and us despite our recent losses 4th

Colchester are going to have a major say in who gets promoted as they are a top 3 form team who still have to play us, Huddersfield and Wednesday all at home.
Notts County have Wednesday and us at home.
Yeovil are the other top 3 form team and they have Charlton and Huddersfield away.
Another one to avoid on recent form is Scunthorpe and they've got Huddersfield away, Charlton and MK Dons at home.

Huddersfield seem to have an horrendous run-in in terms of playing against the form teams (7 out of the current top 10).
We've only got 3 games out of 11 against current form teams.
