So far this season it's been 3 wins and a draw and although it was disappointing not to win today, it was another clean sheet and means we've started with a healthy equivalent of ten points from twelve.
Keep this up and we're guaranteed promotion.
Admittedly, Tuesday night will be a tough game, but hopefully they'll rest a few so we can get at least a draw.
That would give us an equivalent average of 2.2 points a game going into the Donny game, which would be enough to get over 100 points again.

Get used to it, that's how its going to be next season, all possession but no goals

It was a friendly, to get the team back to pass and move , get the understanding right now
Getting the feel of the ball for when we play competitive matches knowing where your team mate will be , I don’t care if we lose every friendly once it builds up the teams work ethic
Once we don’t get beaten 14-0 but then we had a whole team out injured
Blah blah blah

Not sure why anybody would get upset over a preseason friendly? I remember watching us lose at Halifax preseason before we won League One, very disjointed performance and Ben Whiteman was the best player on the pitch! I've seen us beat Fenerbahce when FLN was in charge...… essentially the performances are pretty meaningless, the results mean even less.

What I want to see is a game plan, some cohesion, and that the boys are fit and motivated. Wilder will deliver on those, no doubt about it. I was only half listening to the commentary yesterday but McGoldrick (again) by the sounds of it was excellent; that to me is a huge positive.

If anyone cares about pre season training you need looking at.

If we beat Inter Milan everyone will say we’re going to win the league. Draw to Mansfield relegations are coming.

We’ve all seen FA Cup results over the year. They just wanted it more today.

Apart from the fact we will be playing 20 odd team that are far better than mansfield town, and if we play like that we we lose to all of them, i see where your thinking eminates from.

Didn't Mansfield beat Derby recently, in a friendly?

Didn't derby lose 3-1 to Mansfield and did derby beaten Southampton 3-0 yesterday in friendlies?

My guess is lack of quality in the final third. We don't have the finances to solve that problem. Waghorn isn't the answer either.
Sadly but it's probably the best we can muster.

We have quality in the final third, and we are looking to add to that quality.

That Halifax game was the first time I saw [ahem] David Brooks, who looked decent, I also remember a few having a go at Coutts that day...o_O

Well some might not be bothered but if we lose on Tuesday then I will be writing a strongly worded open letter via this forum to the directors and manager.

It will be a quality post and one I expect fellow Blades to fully support.

Pre-season means absolutely nothing , I am not interested in it one little bit , the real stuff starts 1st match of the season !

ps if you want to make any money put some on Chessy getting straight back into the football league and for bigger odds they will do it as Champions !

Who?

Don’t recall any grief directed at the team bizarrely! They had a really tall striker who was a real handful.....the Halifax fans were very pleased afterwards!

What I do vividly remember is looking to my far left, and in the corner between the main stand and the stand behind the goal, a magnificent 3/4 metre wide Buddlea in full flower amongst other flora.... the groundskeeper had obviously done a sterling job!
