Doesn’t matter whether the rumours are true or not. If he’s got personal issues, he would get time off in any other job. We all love it but it’s just a game. Hecky clearly knows that.

We don’t want to be the kind of club that makes “business decisions” when someone is having a tough time.

There are times to be purely business minded, and there are times to have some compassion. If he needs time off because his wife has a terminal illness what sort of a club would we be if we sent him back? We should be doing all we can to help him, and if that means seeing out the full terms of the loan then so be it.

Cancel the Ben Davies loan and get a CB in who is available to play?

Joining the dots it seems like some serious off the field issue is keeping BD from playing.

No doubt we have paid Liverpool a very hefty loan fee for his services which are being denied us.

Whatever the issue is the player will still be paid by LFC.

Is it not possible to cancel this loan and get someone else in?
