Why do we struggle to sell out v rovrum

We can't be far off selling out for Saturday now can we? Despite the OP's doubts

It's not really been mentioned but we've kind of copied Chansiri's pricing policy, but not quite as bad.

A few year back, Chancer announced how important advanced season ticket sales were because it allows his club to know what transfer budget they have.
His explained that "genuine fans" should always buy season ticket and he will endeavour to keep these prices affordable and reasonable.
I believe his vision was that over 90% of attendees at SWFC home matches would be season ticket holders.

However he said that casual part-time fans and away fans will be penalised by being charged higher prices and they had this weird category A to G system
where cat A games were about £40 in the Championship.

There was loads of controversy at the time about SWFC having the highest pay on the day prices in the league
but this marketing strategy kind of forced people to buy season tickets and they ended up having record ST holders.

The Prince has also put up our pay on the day prices. We're one of the highest in the Championship.
SWFC lowered all their prices when they went down to league 1, hence they don't brag about revenue anymore and we currently charge more than them.
However The Prince has kept our season tickets at a reasonable price, so now it seems a no brainer to buy a season ticket.
We were saying amongst the ST holders around me at the Fulham game (last match) that (unless there's a reason) you'd be mad not to renew your season ticket.

The result of this pricing strategy is record season ticket sales for us. No matter what kind of season we have.
We're pretty much gauranteed a minimum 25K gate, as ST holders are automatically included in the official attendance.
My son has bought season tickets (ST) on the kop this season for him and his two boys (Nine and five). He says that he only has to take them four times to offset the price of the season ticket against the pay on the day price. He knows that they will not be going to every game due to other commitments at the weekends, and it being school nights for midweek matches, but even so, he will make massive savings by having the ST.

Personally, BLUT is the last place I'd buy a ticket for, but I like to be close to the pitch, close enough to be able to hear the players breathe

Problem is, I like to drape my legs over the seat in front and rest my arms on the seats either side of me, have no one between me and the pitch, and stay sat down for set peices, shit decisions and goals. Not coming If it's that busy up there.

The draping helps you crack out the really smelly farts. The ones which are “hot on exit”.

Said emissions are why BLUT is always last to sell out (high proportion of drapers cocking their legs on the regular) and also did for the Singing Section - peg on sneck adversely affected the rooerin!

approx 180 tickets left on kop..singles and restricted view
approx 260 remaining on BLUT
block of restricted view tickets available on kop corner
bramall lane corner sold out
odd single on South and John Street

Won't you just take our word for it that they are breathing?

Even with the facts and figures presented to em in large print they still don't see it. Youve got pitsmoor banging on about the 38k v wycombe in 2012. Well done, but there weren't 38k there the next game IN A HIGHER DIVISION!! They're fair weathers and they know it. Just scared to admit it. The only reason they get in the 20s is because we do. The only reason they sell out away is because it gives them something to cling to. Wait for Preston with the travel issues. We always sell that one out but due to the travel issues we wont. They'll bang on about some shit. Fuck em. Pricks

It reminds me of the time during our first season back in the Championship

We fell off the pace towards the end of the season, and we played Wolves away.

We lost 3-0, fair enough I thought, no harm done.

Then went in a pub and some dickhead is waffling on about us losing to "Effing Wolves" " Ahhhh do yer lose to Wolves, they're effing shyte" "Your lot must be effing wank"

This moron had no idea that Wolves had basically pissed the League

He also had no idea that SWFC were nigh on relegation fodder, his Dad or "special" Uncle had obviously told him that they were fantastic and nobody could beat them

All this gobbling off about United had come after their 1-3 home defeat to Birmingham a couple of hours earlier, which he equally had no idea about.

But he was one of that 38,000 that was present against Wycombe.

So, draw your own conclusions, but Sheffield for me is full of these types of morons, and thankfully they all support that shower.

Shhh. Don’t tell him that it’s postponed tomorrow. Imagine the ranting when no one turns up.
