Why would we need a new CB on loan? (according to the media - GK plus CB) I know Killa has become a liability at CB so we have moved him over to left back. But surely if Davies, Morgs or Fortune get injured or suspended it would be worth risking Killa rather than waste money on a temp loan? With Geary back we could ven move Walker over - he didn't do too bad their before. Surely having been relegated to left back Killa would want to show the scouts he's still got it, having already made the point he wants away. So why a CB on loan?

Because Killa is on his way in January and Davies and Fortune are not good enough.

Simple as.

Deadline for loans ends this month. Wouldn't be surprised if Killa has gone at that time.

That would leave Morgs with either Davies or Fortune. Neither of the latter would fill me with any confidence at all.
Moving Walker inside would be dependant on Geary being able to last 90 minutes or risk Ryan France (which fills me with dread).
If we hang on to Killa then no problem, if we don't then a CB is essential.

If KB says we need a CB in on loan then, we need a CB in on loan. He has got everything else right this season.

Thought the loan deadline was this Thursday or I guess I should have said emergency loans. Get the need for something in Jan but why the emergency right now. Figure we have enough in place till Jan when we will know for sure whether there is serious interest in Killa - personally think his value has dropped and whatever contract he gets wont lift him to where he wants, SUFC will probably be willing to cash in regardless as I think Killa has done himself in.

I think (and now hope) Killa will be off on loan before he leaves in Jan, I think he's a cracking player, a very good centre half, but from Sat's evidence, his head's gone.

In addition we have Naysmith, Geary, Stewart and Taylor for fullback, but none are fully fit so if Killa goes then we're short .

Davies for me isn't good enough and I think he goes back before the Jan window opens.

Fortune needs to get fit.

I heard a rumour that Ward is being lined up as a Centre half

Yeah Elliot Ward the guy thats been replace by the fowl Richard Wood.

We need to be looking at Shackall his loan ends with Donny soon.

Thought Fortune used to be decent at Charlton, but against Barnsley he looked ridiculously slow at times.

i commented my dead grandmother would have caught him, and she wasn't very quick when she was alive!!

Walker is not tall, strong or, most of all, experienced enough to play centre-back.

He will make his name in the Premiership as a full-back and that's where he will stay.

i've heard all this before with jags.. he's not big enough.. experienced enough. he's a midfielder.. walker played most of his junior career at centre back.. how can he get the experience if you don't play him.. cannavaro is 5ft 10 i believe (yawn.. again).. let him have a go.. he has morgan alongside to teach him.. perhaps harry r. doesn't want him played there..

oh i get it!!..:fishbowl:
criteria for united cb
1. past it
2. injured
3. formerly in reserve team of championship or lower club
4. will become miraculously injured after first game, spending rest of loan period in treatment room..
uhm .. i dunno then
