I don't have an aversion to giving a no2 a chance. I just don't understand how people want it so much in this case.
Rammers has made good saves and mistakes. My worry is Verrips will make more mistakes, otherwise he would have featured previously.
I'm not saying I'm right, I'm just surprised people assume Verrips will be better.

Verrips gets a chance, he messes up he's dropped, he does well then great!

Time to give Verrips a go in my opinion. Ramsdales confidence looks shot and more importantly the rest of the defence look like they have no confidence in him, with the benefit of hindsight he's totally the wrong signing.

That said he's only 22 and still learning. He will be a great keeper in 3 or 4 seasons or so, he just needs to bulk up a bit, become a bit more vocal and work on his positioning.

So doesn’t need to do a lot then?????

I've only seen Verrips in training and warm ups. He seems like a decent keeper. Don't see why we have all these goalkeepers if Wilder is just gonna play Ramsdale no matter how bad he gets.

I'll beg to differ. For me it's more a case of money and status. Why would you spend £18m on a goalie and bomb him so soon for 2 freebies? That wouldn't look good for Wilder at all.

Ramsdale needs some TLC in my opinion. And I mean professionaly. Simmo had the same issues regards confidence. It can get lonely as a goalkeeper.

Leeds, Villa, Chelsea, Arsenal, Fulham all signed decent number 2’s that have played when first choice has struggled. I appreciate a few clubs on that list aren’t something we’ll ever compete with but they’ve all had goalkeeper issues.

But why spend £6m - £8m on Bogle as a back up that never plays and not spend £3-5m on a decent second choice that’s pushing Ramsdale.

Ramsdale is making continuous mistakes every game and he’ll continue to be number one no matter what.
