Reading having a team meeting this aft.
" Nah then Incey what's team for tomorrow?"
" I'm waiting until Sunjihi posts or it to appear on that Gospel Twatter Site so you will all have to wait"
Do people think a poster will influence a Professional football managers decision. Really?.
Wilder thought so and openly said so.

Definitely no need for the team news. It can be discussed after the club announce it.

It's not remotely inconceivable the opposition find out, especially if it makes its way onto Twitter. The opposition could benefit and you certainly can't prove otherwise. Fine margins and all that.

All here for transfer speculation/ITK unless it's clearly necessary to be hush hush.

Sorry but, if any club were to use "gossip" from forums/social media however reputable the "unnoficial" source is, then they need to sack the guys in charge of that. Clubs do their own homework but I'm sure its not going on other clubs forums for information ffs.

It's not gossip when it's a leak.

Why would they sack someone for establishing someone has leaked opposition team news?

He is not even giving it out that early. Some of these announcements are only an hour or so before the teamsheet gets announced.
Pretty sure there's been at least one that was morning of the game. Maybe earlier examples that I've not read. Not sure as I don't keep a log.

A forum post is not a leak without a valid source. No sources are ever provided, but you think clubs take this stuff as 100% true?

Making a hilarious skit about it, doesn't make it any less possible that leaked team news could affect an opposition line up/tactic.

I don't really have a hard on about this, but if it was me I absolutely would not be leaking information about a teamsheet.

If it's proven to make a difference. Then surely the smart thing to do would be "leak" fake info thus other clubs would not only be kept guessing but literally second guessing themselves on team and tactics, causing consternation and psychological re evaluation or summat?

Yep definitely remember @Jurgen69 posting “Danke” when Sun posted the line up for the Liverpool match.

I doubt any opposition manager is going to change his team selection on the basis of a post on a fans' forum by a poster who isn't always correct.

Our team is announced an hour before KO, giving the opposition plenty of time to decide on how they will set up. In the unlikely event that our team selection is so surprising that the opposition manager wants to make changes, he has plenty of opportunity given that five subs are now allowed.

Keep the itk posts coming Cap'n
OK, to play devil's advocate - what's the point or benefit of hearing such posts? The team news ones, that is.

Imho it's a bit of a cunt's trick regularly announcing team news early on here.

However, I think some of you are really overplaying the impact or potential impact of doing so.
