On loan:
Stays: Hendo (enough said)
Goes: Madine (one dimensional, we need pace), Hogan (not good enough).

Transfer list:
Lundstram, Johnson, Washington (none good enough, not even for top of Championship)

Borderline:
Stearman, Bryan, Freeman, Dowell (could go either way)

Thoughts?

Kean Bryan has contributed bugger all, and can go. I’d want Henderson, maybe Madine unless we can get better. Dowell, Hogan and Johnson can go back to their parent clubs.

Lundstram and Washington can go. I’d be tempted if offers came in for Stearman, Jake Wright, Freeman and, dare I say, Coutts too. We need to have two decent players in every position, and three keepers.

There are names that will be bandied about, but of potential loanees I’d be happy with Tammy Abraham for starters. Maybe that little bloke at Barcelona will fancy some Premier a League football on loan for a season too. :D

Realistically if we want to survive we need to upgrade the starting XI, relegate some of the current XI to the bench and our current bench pretty much goes out the door.

For me, you’re probably looking at retaining Henderson, Egan, O’Connell, Stevens, Fleck, Norwood & McGoldrick in and around the first XI.

I would look to upgrade on Baldock, Basham, Duffy & Sharp. These players would all likely drop to our bench.

What this means in turn is that Freeman, Coutts, Hogan, Dowell, Madine, Lundstram, Johnson, Washington, Bryan & Stearman etc. all probably are released / transfer listed.

It’s a savage business.

Limited to 2 PL loans aren't we? Assuming Henderson is one, I'm not sure I'd sign Dowell back as the other. He's been good, certainly an improvement on Woodburn, but he just isn't anywhere near as good as Duffy/a Duffy type in our system. He's a good runner but never got himself into good positions off the ball.

One loan would be Henderson and the other a young and upcoming PL striker. Abraham would be perfect.

brutal
we haven’t finished this season yet
and i thought ‘i’ was cynical :D

A LOT of the players we have including players out on loan will need to get shipped out. I think we will need 9+ players in. Going to be interesting who Wilder keeps and let's go. I'd keep Madine (Target man can't see any other player we could sign if we don't sign Madine permanent) and Hendo out of the loans

This sounds harsh on the face of it but it's all true. It's tempting given the happiness at the club to think that the current squad as it is could stay up but sadly that is almost certainly not the case in reality.

We're going to need to go through a decent change in personel but I trust that Wilder can make it happen given sufficient funds.

I'd agree with most of that RMBlade.

Can't really see a future at the Lane for any of the senior players who've been out on loan. Keep Jake Wright in a coaching role perhaps?

If Hendo is one of our PL loans, then we should use the 2nd to get someone in that we can't afford a permanent deal for (either a striker or a Duffy-style playmaker).

CW alluded to it in a recent interview,he's got some very difficult decision's to make in the coming month,it's the most brutal part of the job,but he has also said there's no room for sentiment in football
It's a tough call

The good thing is, we’ll be able to command fees for players like Stearman should he go.

This summer we won’t have to sell any of our stars.

I know he’s a piggy and 32 but Vardy would be a solid first signing. Think Leicester might be ready to push the release button.
