Been to the New Den every time the Blades have played there (and also to a week-night youth cup match in the home end) and never had a problem.

To those mentioning the fenced area, there is one straight from the train, but it's joint until a certain point where it splits off between home and away, perfectly achieving the identification of which side you are on That said, only really seen a bit of posturing and shouting in this area.

I am led to believe that groups on both sides are going to be "up for it" following earlier this season, so be worth keeping your wits about you all the same.

True story: at the height of the 1980's hooligan era I went on the Millwall end at the old Den. My mates were supposed to be coming on too but they all neshed it so I was there on my own. I eventually found a copper and got marched round the side of the pitch to the home end. That was the last time I wore that particular pair of underpants.

Roker Park always seems funny after the mouthy fat bloke in the stand got hit bang in the face with a pie thrown from the away end.

Old Den twice in the 70's, very enjoyable. St Andrews night match. Never did Roker Park. Brentford away night match and half time pitch invasion and after the game Arsenal lads waiting for us.

The area around Druid St is now very 'Brayford' with a range of small delis and craft breweries under the arches. It gets a right crowd down of normal folk. If you aren't dressed in football shirts or mobbed up then the five breweries that only open on Saturdays are well worth a visit, though ale not cheap.

The distance down the Old Kent Road is not far and a main road. Personally, I would booze elsewhere in London, get tube to London Bridge, pick one of the better boozers (the cracking Harveys one is sound) and then cab it from there. Easy and anonymous.

I've done Canada Water before and wasn't the easiest or safest route in.

After the match London Bridge ain't great as a lot of Millwall live away and head back there to then head home. I've been a few times on Saturdays and had the looks briefly. A few lads would probably get more...

As for our troublesome youth, I'd be careful...

Been before and never seen much trouble to be honest. As Foxy said, if you are going by train the biggest threat is where the fence splits for the walkway to the away end. The police generally have this well looked after though, especially after the game.

We will be heading around London Bridge/Borough Market beforehand. Generally a few Blades around there before getting the train through.

Had some unreal experiences at the old den ,telegraph pole came over one year and then the year they mingled with us on the concourse after and some idiot got a flick knife out and the cops just told him off.going into the car park and seeing 3 coaches your car and only one other was a bummer too especially with the bridge to negotiate, we got the mandatory bricking and then 3 cars full chased us for miles across London. I was also on the coach the year when it really went mad scrapping everywhere, we ended up in wellingborough and some idiot off the coach knifed a local so we all got kept for hours. He got a long sentence though ,well known lad in his day. Nowt like that these days but be careful everyone.

If we are to capitalise on our slim chances of reaching the play-offs we need to chase down 5th place as well as 6th. There are simply too many teams sitting below 6th place with play off to just focus on one spot. I think Saturday is a season defining game for us. We could give ourselves (and chasing pack) a huge, huge boost by beating Millwall.

I'm off to the New Den, as I've got to work and found I have been granted annual leave which I wasn't expecting.

Think this is my 5th or 6th trip to the New Den. Hardly had any problems down there, apart from my last trip in 2010 when it was a bit tasty before and after the match round South Bermondsey......
