Just listening to Souness before the north east Derby, he says that he learnt more from the senior pros at the club than anyone else and puts Newcastle's current issues down to the senior pros not doing their job. So who are the 2 or 3 senior pros who you think could realistically be at BDTBL next season and who can make that difference in the dressing room and on the pitch ? We've had Morgan and McCall, maybe Brown and Billy and (very) arguably Doyle and Hammond exert their influence in recent years, so who next year ?

None, zip, nada.

This team is completely rudderless, no one leads, nobody influences.

It's eleven clueless fucks with little ability and even less commitment to the cause.

It will take the signing of an entire teams worth of new players to stop this rot.

Should be players like Brayford, Hammond, McCleverly and Billy.

If the definition was: played more than 300 games then that would include those players plus Baptiste and Woolford. So I'd agree with that.

Two are on loan and I would say Hammond, McEveley and Billy have some leadership attributes. However, you have to be good enough as well.

I would only keep Brayford and Sharp, possibly McEveley for performances since December. Possibly Baptiste.

We've been woefully short of leaders for a long time. Again it demonstrates the mess we are in.

What happened to that bunch of 6 players at the start of the season Adkins used to mention - that useless bastard Collins being one :-/

That was the players committee.

More blue sky, out of the box thinking from our highly esteemed leader.

Joey Barton.

Out of contract at end of the season, still playing high standard football at 33 years of age.
Just the sort of personality who'd thrive here (on about footballing personality btw, not talking about his past misdemeanors or his interesting off-field personality).
