For all the good players we had back then, the Warnock years (especially the first few) were also full of crappy “squad players”, loans and jumble sale failures.

Im not a Warnock hater at all and undoubtedly he unearthed some gems. But his recruitment often felt like throwing hands full of mud at a wall and seeing what stuck.
