i see donny have finally confirmed Whiteman has joined them on loan.

Think this must be a decent move for all sides.

- Donny get a talented young player.

- Ben gets time on loan and hopefully some regular first team action in a more challenging league.

- We get back a player with more experience and one closer to breaking into the first team hopefully

Based on his performances on loan last year I'm expecting him to be a key player for donny. Given how well he played for us under Adkins I think league one is his minimum level - be interesting to get some views from updates next season

Did we extend his contract first? Not sure but I thought it was due to expire at the end of this season?

Will do well for Donny in League One, 15 goals and assists combined a very achievable target for him!

Glad it's just for 6 months. This lad will be good enough by the New Year, let's hope so.

Wilder states we will be keeping a close eye on his progress.

Donny are very lucky to get a lone like him , and we could do with getting Harry Chapman back , who will probably rip defences apart somewhere .

I think a 6-month loan is a good idea. Can re-assess in January and who knows, he might have earned himself a shot at the first team

Great move all round , everyone's a winner.

Boro, I imagine. We're in the same league as them now.

6 months is the correct option. There could well be a place for him in our first team by the end of that period.

The worry is that he'll do well enough to attract PL interest, in which case we could have trouble getting him tied down to a new contract and holding onto him.

Went to watch him last night doncaster v bury although bury scored 3.the lad looked confident on and off the ball.only did simple passes.dont think hes good enough for our first team yet though .but steadily improving .saw chris morgan at rovers having a coffee at half time. Dont know who is with now.

As Nade said whiteman has gone permanently

As for Morgs, he’s now working as a football agent
