COCK PISS PARTRIDGE
As sure as night follows day we'll conspire to finish 3rd and then lose in the Play offs.

I think it will be a three horse race to the very end of the season, and odds are whichever one of the theee finishes third will then get robbed of promotion in the play offs by some team that has hung around mid table until finding a bit of form in March.
We shall destroy all who stand before us. We shall slay your menfolk, enslave your women and drink the tears of your children.
We are Sheffield fucking United, look upon us and you shall know your maker.
Meaning we went down to the 4th division with a PLUS goal difference.
We're the best team in the division by a long way, but we're Sheffield United, so we'll finish 3rd and then lose in the play offs.
We won't go into admin, Chairman told the fans we don't need to sell as finances are in good shape , could of course be utter bollox, but he does seem shrewd, so in reply to you, no we won't be cheating the system.MartinBWFC
I've been expecting you.
7 weeks ago the Bradford representative arrived asking the same question, since then their form has been W1 D4 L2. They are dying on their feet.
The circle is now complete and your arrival has condemned your team to the same fate.
Send for the Scunthorpe rep.

Top 2 will be anyone from Blades, Bolton, Scunny, Posh or Rochdale.
As folks are saying, for us it hinges on February - Posh away, Bolton and Scunny home and then first weekend in March Rochdale away, which will be a very tough period.
Let us just get past January with the family silver still in tact
In the 80-81 season we were no where near relegation at any point. Always around mid table but on the last match of the season for us to be relegated we had to lose to a relegation threatened poor Walsall team and other teams near the bottom had to win or draw.
It was long odds for us to be relegated. Walsall got a dodgy penalty in the 1st half and then deep into injury time we got an even more dodgy penalty. Score and we stay up. Our normal penalty taker John Matthews bottled it and up stopped Don Givens who hit a weak shot that was easily saved.
Meaning we went down to the 4th division with a PLUS goal difference.
Agreed ...... I think many of the chaps ( and chapesses ) are getting a bit excitable and maybe prematurely
And whilst I'm personally delighted that for the first time in living memory we have signed a decent player at the start of a transfer window ( I give full credit here where its due to Tufty & the Board ) ........ its also crucial that we don't sell any of the key players.
Its also crucial that we address other areas of the squad if we are indeed to compete for top two places this season.
I do not hold with this popular idea that Scunny will fade ( remember Burton ) and Bolton may well hold onto their influential players, unlike us over the last 5 years.
Let's see what it all looks like at the end of February, when we may get a clearer picture about how "giddy" we should be
I desperately want to believe, to enjoy the ride ........ but having supported the sexy R&W wizards for 52 years now ....... I'm a self-confessed cynical old ba**ard !!!
UTB & FTP
Let us know when you want to come on board?
You don't want to miss the bus though.............

Just like usCan't write Rochdale off despite their small squad and humble resources
They are on a right roll
Thought it was an Asda that was built on Burnden Park not an Argos.........He's posting from the Argos car park so I think the disclaimer is reasonable.
