How would you like to see our new manager appear on the sidelines this season? Should he be resplendent in shirt, suit and tie giving an air of authority or should he look like a raggy-arsed coach, dressed in Blades tracksuit and trainers, showing that he's one of the lads?

I think it's time we had a suit on the sidelines and if anyone can carry it off, Speedo should be able to.

Morning, definately. Touch o class.

Definitely a suit. Let the substitutes and coaches wear the training gear; squad players (if we have any!) and the manager should be in a suit.

Go all out - there should be more of this in football... (hope it works)

If you want to be a Guardiola or a Mourinho, you've got to dress like one.

If it gets a bit chilly, you pop to Milan and buy a coat. You don't go to the Blades Superstore. Them's the rules.

To be fair the guy can wear what he likes as long as he does a good job. I do like to see managers in a business suit though. It distinguishes them from the rest of the staff.

It would have been funny to choose speedos but thankfully I'm not that way inclined

I voted Authority. I think this works for Young managers. Players then see that he is no longer one of them as he is not in his drill top, team shorts and boots. For coaches and backroom this is fine, but the manager should always dress apart... unless you're Warnock, I don't even like managers wearing the "Team coat" (like Bassett used to). If the manager needs a coat, Italian Cashmere should be reight.

However, Speed, like with the football should look to bring his own style in. The Fergie coat, the Mourinho coat, the Mancini scarf or the McClaren Brolly are all individual styles, Speed should eventually find his style, but for now he needs a Dark Suit, White shirt and takes the option for a tie or a different coloured shirt with open collar. Personally I think he's young enough to carry off the open collar.

However, keep away from the '80's Yuppie shirt with white collars and cuffs, keep these for Shearer on Motd or Phil Brown.

Keep it classic Speedo and where possible the suit is Italian, the cut would suit him better.

I wonder if Speedo will be launching the ball from the half-way line to our centre-backs on the edge of the penalty area for headers circa 20 minutes before kick-off?

"Referee! Referee! Sir, may I respectfully insist you cease this most foul display of onanism"

THAT'S how you influence match officals.

Speed has alread said that he wants to continue to be involved in the warm-up on the pitch before the game and he can't be arsed with doing that and then changing into the suit, so it looks like he'll be in the tracksuit and training gear. Well, if it worked for Brian Clough......

Whilst the new coach is getting into his job, I accept that Gary wants to be involved with the warm up, etc, but anyone moving from a supervisor role to a management position, needs to establish his / her authority as soon as possible.

For me, tracksuit for the Middlesborough game is ok, but formal morning suit thereafter.

Definitely a suit. Although it doesn't look like it's going to happen judging by what he's said.

For me, Speed has to wear a proper Suit for Boro Away.

Not sure, but Blackwell's new silver suit should never be tried again.
Personally I think tracksuit. I think he needs to gain the trust of the lads before becoming an authority figure.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in his Speedos but seeing as that's very unlikely to happen I'd opt for suit :D
