if we only get 10m for egan were giving him away starting bids no less than 20m for me same for joc if anybody is interestedGood post.
Berge is definitely going, we’re just starting the hardball “don’t want or need to sell” routine.
He has three years on his contract though so there’s absolutely no need to sell for less than £30m. We could raise the last £10m with Egan then.
Because he will beHe is a football fan believe it or not why you acting like he's completely clueless?
If the player doesn't want to go How?Do you actually believe thats what happens in most cases
If their contracts are up they move on as a free agent (eg Lundstram) so you dont sell them
There are numerous ways you can move players on that are under contract if they are not wanted
Didn't sound like it with the interviews he didBecause he will be
How many owners think they know the game.......they don't....Sky have a lot to answer the trouble is everyone has become an armchair expert Hancock talks about Covid as though he knows about it.......he doesn'tDidn't sound like it with the interviews he did
I’d be surprised if we made a loss with c130m of Prem revenue even with less match day income. Wages will be higher but still must have been one of the lowest in the league. Higher Transfer fees but spread over the length of the contracts so only say a 25% hit, and buying back the assets not a p&l hit.The Athletic is reporting that last years accounts which are due out shortly will show a £20m loss and this year there will likely be an even bigger loss due to Covid with income affected by around £30m.
It also says the new building at Shirecliffe is paused until after Covid but will be going ahead, and that the academy building was refurbished for the first team squad which Wilder was happy with.
Every relegated club sells players to the tune of £40m on average - why should we be any different especially taking into account the loss of income due to Covid?
I actually think not to sell players would be crazy, to think an underperforming squad will miraculously be brilliant next season without fresh faces is highly unlikely.
The thing that makes me question Wilders motives for leaving and the manner of it is that he always said he would never put the financial future of the club in jeopardy but many of the things it’s reported he wanted would seem to be doing just that.
For me sell Berge to the highest bidder and maybe one other decent player that we think we can get good money for and replace adequately, then clear out the deadwood on top.
If the new manager wants to play a different system and feels they need to move more on as a result then so be it.
My source says not selling anyone that doesn’t say they are desperate to leave. The only players going will be those you wouldn’t what to keep. Trusted source too.Just heard a discussion about Wilder leaving on 5 live. They believe that Wilder's position was made untenable because Abdullah wants to sell 5 players in the summer.
I'm guessing he wants to sell Egan, Fleck, Ramsdale, and possibly O'Connell even though he has been injured for almost a season. Who else will we get money for?
Didn’t realise he signed a four year deal last summer. Fair point! £20m minimum.if we only get 10m for egan were giving him away starting bids no less than 20m for me same for joc if anybody is interested
Fuck's sake"Is Abdullah"
It's is not are.
For fucking fucks sake.
Berge will be off obviouslyMy source says not selling anyone that doesn’t say they are desperate to leave. The only players going will be those you wouldn’t what to keep. Trusted source too.
Berge will be off obviously
Mcburnie IS desperate to leave from what I hear and already handed club transfer request for end of season.
I see what you're saying, however, getting rid of our two best, proven Championship strikers for around 2-3m altogether? I'm not sure i'd go for this personally... imo our policy should be get rid of the players who aren't in the squad regularly, have lost form/past it, and/or we have depth in their position.Surely you have to get rid of the players that are the oldest first ?. Maybe Chris wanted to hold on to these players and the Prince himself wanted more youthful players?. Just with Sharp ,Mcgoldrick and Jags you have over 100 years. Everyone is assuming he , the Prince is trying to commit suicide by off loading the best players and until things start to unravel no one will know.
Now the disappointment is over maybe we should be getting excited about how it will all turn out and eventually who was right. UTB.
Is he desperate or is it the fans that are desperateBerge will be off obviously

Swans or Gers then.Berge will be off obviously

Good Luck for tmw's match!Lol where you hear this from?
Don’t know if mcburnie wants out sharpish as my source wouldn’t know that but on the selling front he said as I have repeated and he’s no supporter of the board so seems odd.Berge will be off obviously

You can only move a player on if THEY want to move otherwise they see out the contractDo you actually believe thats what happens in most cases

Wow McBurnie hands in a transfer request must think he's had a decent season. There must be a long list of Clubs queuing up to buy himBerge will be off obviously

Sounds like a sixteen wheelerWhy do most people think that Egan will be in such high demand from other premier league clubs at the end of the season?
He's not very fast, turning circle not great, not brilliant with the ball at his feet, he's 28.
Perfectly adequate if you've got some pace playing alongside him, but I don't imagine a huge line of premier league clubs fighting for his signature.
There might be a bit of a disagreement there about “those you wouldn’t want to keep”.My source says not selling anyone that doesn’t say they are desperate to leave. The only players going will be those you wouldn’t what to keep. Trusted source too.
Yeh? That’s a pretty big hole in the roof at Shirecliffe.I’d be surprised if we made a loss with c130m of Prem revenue even with less match day income. Wages will be higher but still must have been one of the lowest in the league. Higher Transfer fees but spread over the length of the contracts so only say a 25% hit, and buying back the assets not a p&l hit.
If we made a loss in yr 1 finishing 9th then what was the plan for future years when wages go up
Surely Swans only if they get promoted?Swans or Gers then.
Might have a fiver on each
